Do Indonesian hospitals keep citizens until they pay their bill?

Saved a friend 150mill rupiah (can anyone help how many USD is this amount now?) from this one. He was talking to this girl, they've met. then suddenly she called saying that she needed a surgery bla bla bla and it would be around 150mill. Little did she know, he and I had been platonic...

Wife divorced me in secret. How to prove it?

Sorry to just butt in. Had to change computer, moving house, etc. In case of muslim marriage in Indonesia, this happened to one of my sisters ya back in early 2000 though I doubt anything change now. Anyway, you can apply for divorce yourself without her consent. Get a lawyer in Indonesia...

    Finally

For first ITAP, it should not take long. Around a month or two. Your second ITAP is going to take a while. Usually around 3 months with constant nagging to the immigration office's call centre.

Info request regarding Flood areas (esp. around Kelapa Gading and Gading Griya Lestari) in North Jakarta

Hey OP, are you planning to move to Kelapa Gading? We used to live in one of those apartments in Kelapa Gading from 2008-2011 (we stayed in Gading Mediterania apartments, next to it they have landed housing) and run a shop in Gading Nias in 2015 while living in Rawamangun area. If I look at...

Looking for a good Indonesian girl.

Ok. This is from an old Indonesian woman who had dated many foreigners (all colours, you name it, I had it) before settling down. 1. Indonesian girls are wild in the sense that you have to be ready with the emotional rollercoaster coming from her side, if you're lucky, IF! You might even find...

Looking for a good Indonesian girl.

My husband started that way, too. Before we met, that is. I do know a couple who had been together for 15 years now and she was one of the bar maids there. Guess he was one of the lucky bunch.

Question for fellow teachers... re: not being allowed to eat lunch offsite

My husband is only a part timer that goes there twice a week and once a week in other school. So, I guess the school makes sure to pack up his schedule. When he used to be a full-timer, he would go out to grab a bite at a nearby mall. He had at least one period off everyday that he can use to...

    The Heart Thing

Yep. we had instances where BPJS were our saviour. Our son was diagnosed with ADHD; treatment and therapy and counselling (and medicines that came with it) is full BPJS. Question for fellow teachers... re: not being allowed to eat lunch offsite

according to my husband, not that it is not allowed, but he only had 20 minutes to gobble up anything that he brought for lunch. Usually, he prefer to just have some coffee (he brought his own coffee powder and milk).

    Confused with ITAS

Yes you can open a bank account with ITAS. My husband had done both with ITAS and ITAP. You will need to bring your passport though and depending on which bank you registered, sometimes they asked for your Indonesian tax registration. There were cases though that you don't need ITAS to open a...
