Merdeka.com - Hundreds of foreign nationals (foreigners) who are still on the island of Bali, are applying for an emergency visa extension. Foreign nationals from various countries made the submission at several immigration offices in Bali, Friday (3/20).

I Putu Surya Dharma as the PR of the Bali Province Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) said that more or less 485 foreigners from 12 countries applied for emergency visas.

"At (Ngurah Rai) Immigration (there are) more than 320 people, Singaraja 17 people and Denpasar 148 people," Surya said, Friday (3/20) afternoon.

The 12 countries are Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, China, USA, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa and Ukraine. The requirement for applying for an emergency visa is the foreign national passport.

In addition, emergency visas are granted to those who have already been locked in. Like, Italy, Spain and France.

This emergency visa was granted after Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi suspended the visa-free visit and was able to arrive on an On Arrival visa for one month.

This rule has been stated in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 8 of 2020 concerning Temporary Suspension of Visit Visas and Visit Visas on Arrival as well as granting permits for forced situations. This policy applies Friday (3/20).

Late to join the discussion, we are from Riau , here everything looks normal till now. Seems like people don't care. People are still going out at numbers in 'malam minggu'. Very few people are wearing masks, yesterday when I joined the Friday prayer I found nobody were wearing masks. We have been receiving lots of information about the virus and the cure on WhatsApp groups! Last night I read someone called anwar nidom invented remedy with traditional ingredients and method! We heard till now there are 2 cases here and they have been giving treatment in the hospital. The more scary thing is the 500/600 people from Indonesia who attended the gathering in Malaysia, 50 of them happen to be from here, riau and they returned and the local government is now strated to trace their families! May be the carelessness will cost us far from our expectation!

I don't have a thermometer gun, just our household digital t/meter.
Not every one knows, menopausal women may find it hard to tell, pregnant women likewise... it only has to be a slight fever too.

Carrefour PVJ mall in Bandung is where we went- EMPTY! Absolutely EMPTY. Only people there were staff andmaybe about 10 others shopping.
The streets thru Bandung- EMPTY, feeling proud of the people for being pretty smart and staying home.

I didn't want to risk a motorcycle delivery of a telly in what is still rainy season.
PS we got a great deal 2juta discount.

I try to keep a stock of mixed types of antibiotics in, as a smoker, cough cough I do tend to pick up a nasty chest infection at least once a year in Feb/March it only ever seems to clear after a dose of penicillin.. However, my hubby doesn't drive (he has his SIM A - but means little) nor does he deserve to be oin the streets on a scooter, so I think ahead & prep ahead, mainly because if I am too ill with an infection to get out i have the means to start healing.
The ojek/gs are gone from our part of the mountain now. The local warung is closed now. It is only early days, I think things will get quite shady later.
What I would advise for you being as i am such a not at all qualified medic hahaha- get honey in, proper stuff not the pathetic excuse sold in many places, honey is a cureall a natural protector, get some lemons in and some comfort food, get some menthol massage oil or Vick's vapour rub in , whatever it is you would use for comfort with a usual head cold.
Maybe some ginger root too- mashed up in honey & hot water & lemon juice drink is soothing- I won't charge you for this - community spirit & all that jazz.

Thanks for the advice and wishes. Yesterday, my condition became much worse, also fever appeared. But today I already feel better, not healthy but better. I still hope it is just a cold or regular flu. If my condition does not get much worse, I still think it is better not to see a doctor and leave tests to people in a more serious condition or age. And if I am informed correctly, there are no testkits on Lombok yet. So, even if I would consider to take a test, I would have to travel to Bali or so. But I hope it won't be necessary.

I am a bit more worried about my sister in law. She got fever and breathing problems. Not connected to my disease since she lives on Java and we did not meet for a few months. I hope she will be fine.

I also hope the situation with your families is better and all of you guys and your families stay healthy.

Sorry you are unwell, the best you can do for now is isolate yourself, and have someone help with shopping items if needed. Assume we have the virus & hope we don't, then behave accordingly seems to be the way we can all work together to lower the curve.

I still hope it is just a cold or regular flu. If my condition does not get much worse, I still think it is better not to see a doctor and leave tests to people in a more serious condition or age. If not, then a common disease around here where you feel horrible one day, everything is painful, high fever, then somewhat better the next, then a back to fever the next day is Dengue, which is also currently having outbreaks throughout Indonesia.

One can never trust any sort of diagnosis from an indonesian facility. I have seen people with obvious food poisoning get diagnosed as 'sakit gula' and told to stop eating cilis or fish. We can see that unlike what some(one) here stated, things did change. And it was already 6 days ago!

Of course it’s not completely clear what the cause of death was. But if the condition of the person was already bad, the fact someone infected is ‘outside’ and posing a risk to others is already worrying. People don’t follow instructions and advice.

It seems one of the two Singaporean fatalities is an Indonesian?
