Well Davita... my original 50quid got added to and then some- but not quite to the extent of being tempted to sell up and use it for travels...
When i have enough to buy a small country I might stop HODLing :D

Singapore is way down on my interest lists... just got back from there, apart from the delicious bacon it has little to offer for a poor lil kampung gal such as me :)

Sorry to hear that but, when you're a rich lil kampong gal and ready to purchase, I'll be happy to manage it for you....:thumb:
On the other hand you might like to buy Bali or Lombok....I can also help there...:becky:

BTC is taking the predicted dive & has dropped a few grand in THE PAST FEW HOURS- not a grand a day but an hour - the crazy train is still riding.
It is the weekend now & the markets (traditional fiat ones) are sat home having a beer.
As I read it , this is what the big boys do when they buy into currencies... pump & dump ... so now would be the time to look at buying in if you hadn't already.
I am reading predictions of a lot higher figures than we have seen already.
On the alt markets- LTC still holding its own as are the rest in my portfolio. no tremendous gains or losses with the exception of LTC (Which is pretty much double what I paid for it on 25th November).
things will change again by the opening of the asian markets on Monday, I'm sure... somehow I think it will be a fairly quiet day tomorrow... let's see- I need to dig out my crystal ball. My common sense says no heightened state is sustainable without at least a breather.

I'm sure some of those who bought in yesterday are crying, but they need to hang on ... cos as I type the price just rallied by 1200USD... that'll be the BTC stallwarts hanging in there & buying in the dips.

I'm not even watching the daily charts now, the 30 minute ones offer enough of a ride :D

"somehow I think it will be a fairly quiet day tomorrow." Well hush my mouth!!! it has just jumped back up to over $14,600.
... nope , I can't type fast enough $14,800 +

Can you imagine if all the stock / financial markets moved like this- the brokers would be dead of exhaustion after a week on the job

Ok, BTC : Stabilised somewhat and is trading at around $16,600 on Gdax & rising nice & steady.
BTC futures: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-bitcoin-futures-contracts-idUSKBN1E10J8?il=0

LTC: held its own over the correction at the weekend, dipped a bit but not alarmingly.
I bought in at around $70 a coin on 25th Nov. It is plugging away now at around $156 on Gdax. I think its high was around $161 in the frenzy.
I still think if you want to buy into ccs LTC is a nice affordable option- I won't say safe any more than any other cc is safe... but it is unlikely to bankrupt anyone buying a half or a whole coin & then sitting back, "HODLing" & watching the ROI grow.
The altcoins I have that are not performing as wonderfully: OMG- I'm showing a loss of just under 80cents. & DNT showing a loss of just under 20cents.
Exodus is showing OMG & FUN as temporarily unavailable for exchange.

I am also getting messages of an "exchange minimum" ... this is irksome as I might like to switch some of my coins.
Obviously I'm too poor to do anything but sit & watch :D

I think I should follow a trend & stick my BTC addy in my signature just in case any BTC daddy wants a pet Baddie to donate to.
I also think it would be good for the forum to have a BTC addy & then they could collect any donations from rich philanthropists who love the place :D

Ms Money Bags, (formerly known as Ms BA) I am curious as to how quickly you can buy out of your coins and then buy back in? Obviously if you were constantly tracking you would sell just as it went past the peak, wait until it bottomed and then start to buy on the next upwards surge.

The pre computerized stock exchanges were pretty well rigged for the heavy hitters. If you were a small trader and wanted to buy or sell you were at the mercy of your stock broker who might take some time to update your orders. It was also an era where "insider trading" was not regarded as a criminal offence but the basis on which many fortunes were made.

I suppose the other relevant question is what kind of fees are incurred each time you trade?

When I looked a moment ago Bitcoin was pushing back close to $17,000. Obviously some fortunes have been won and lost in the last few days.

Last question, do you try and buy and sell based on the movement or just follow the flow while sitting pat until it touches the sky?

Q1: I have no idea :)

Q2: Fees vary by quantity of exchanges/sales/buys made as far as I can figure it out. If you make lots of lil trades then you are using up more effort, so fees are higher.
I just used the exchange function in Exodus. My bits & bobs are not big enough to exchange with them at the moment or so Exodus tells me.
It was all quick, longest one took an hour.

Q3- I am just sat sitting, enjoying the white-knuckle ride- however when the ride stoops at each "correction" I have no urge to disembark.

As for being a money bags hahahaha... one day - if my DASH (0.6), SALT (3), my LTC (0.5) & FUN (450) go crazy I might end up with a few thousand- fingers crossed.
This is because the minimum I have in any (as per the figures in brackets) of these is 0.5 coin
If I hit payday in real life I will buy in again-I won't borrow cash to buy in & I won't spend my grocery cash to buy in either.
... and if my "investment" gets to 1000$ I will buy a hard wallet thingy.
For the record I have around $280 USD now :)

$280 US total? That is pathetic. And to think I have been trying to be extraordinarily careful to be polite and curry favour. Huh. You will understand if I fail to be quite so nice in future.

I was only learning... I would have been silly to sink a few grand in- however with the benefit of hindsight... sigh.

LTC - well it has shifted almost 2million units in the past 24hrs & the price has gone to a nice fat : $197.01 US
Doing a little chair dance :D

Hehehe, Litecoin & Ethereum were suspended from some exchanges for a breather earlier- the general consensus is that they broke the internet :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

LTC has gone up around 60% price since I posted this time yesterday- I hope you bought in :D
Bitcoin is lingering around 17,000USD - I will stab a guess at it being $20,000 in time for Christmas.

Sat here wondering if I should borrow 10 grand to buy in & then sell out a week later... (just kidding, not that addicted yet)

Indonesia wants Bitcoin banned but also thinking of taxing Bitcoin or the use of it :frusty:

Indonesia & the ROTW can but try :)
The more control governments exert over the populace the more it drives discord, & underground talents.
Ain't no one in any govt today who will be here in 20 years hence. The technology will be- just better than ever.

I went to bed last night & woke up £36 richer this morning- over 10%
As you know from my comments above, I haven't exactly broke the bank buying in to it all, but the returns are phenomenal.
In the UK had I "invested" £50 back in August, in some high interest saving account (yeah I know £50 isn't going to buy one of those) I would probably have £50.02 now :D

Is bitcoin supported by EU or world bank? Is it save as other currency? My wife was approach to invest in bitcoin but I say no as it was not "recognize" by the goverment. Because this guy said invest Rp1.500.000 for 8 month is this fisiable?

& the fact that it is not "recognised" by (all) governments is why it is so popular... because governments aren't popular in many places. Some do Canada recognises it, Japan recognises it, China doesn't, amongst others- draw your own conclusions.
