Where are you from? - Lets see where are most of our forum members coming.

The States, where it is round on the ends and hi in the middle...... OHIO

Belgium, Flemisch side. Already 18 years in Indonesia, (near Semarang) before 2 years in Liberia West Africa, 8 month in Roemenië etc etc.
About the tomatoes, the ones from our garden are the best...

Western Australia. Working towards my retirement in Bwi. Go there as much as I can in between jobs.

Funny enough, when I am asked this question I always say "Indonesia", as that is the nationality I identify with the most. The paperwork (ie. passport), does not support this, but oh well....

Ah ha! I knew it was you! Suspicions finally confirmed!

Hey! Welcome to the forum. Glad to see that you found us.

Some friendly soul typed out the link long hand.. I suspect they will eventually find it and delete it.. The tumbleweed is rolling around the other forum pretty hard..

I'm from Brisbane, Australia, my wife is from Banyuwangi and my daughter is from heaven (most of the time).

Born, reared, and went to college in Indonesia. Ethnically Indonesian, currently living in Indiana, USA.

Wow.
Nice to see so many people posted on my thread !!
Well i was assuming that most of the people are from the states or Australia and of course some from England i can see that there is not even one Eastern European member so far but looking forward to hear from some of them..

I was born in England and my wife was born in Indonesia. Indonesia is our long term home :)

Born in Born in Texas, spent 1/4 of my life there, on and off. Family is in North Carolina, spent 1/4 of my life there, on and off. 1/4 of my life spent in other, seemingly random, locations like Somerset, LLantwit Major, AZ and Utah. 1/4 of my life here, in Indonesia.

I don't remember tomatoes being particularly good anywhere, unless they were grown in someone's back yard.

Today, I have seen a long horn Texas cow.. for the first time. I dont even know what its called! Is it a long horn Texas cow?

Perhaps you can count me for half. I am french of Serbian descent.
I understand now why you ever wrote (in the 'other' website) that you can be sometimes short tempered. LOL. It's joking offcourse but I think this because in the eighties I travel few times to Yugoslavia, that was before the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991. When I travel in the Serbia area I meet some people in Pristina who where easy angry, short tempered specialy after drinking this slivovisch a kind of local brewed high in alcohol thing.. Anyhow, I have good memories about Serbia and the friendly people (most of them)

Perhaps you can count me for half. I am french of Serbian descent.

Great to hear that !!
I hope you had a chance to visit Serbia, it is a beautiful country.
And i do hope we will get some more Eastern Europeans here !!

...
That is not the case with the tomatoes or other veggies from my moms garden back home !

I fully agree on this one. One fact that surprises me the most is why in Indonesian's supermarkets they sell still a bit green tomatoes and they are not nice looking as well. They look and taste like tomatoes which are not fully ripe and yet they were harvested.
