Changing a birth cert

My partner and I had our first child before we married. They are registered under my wife as sole parent. We have since married and would like to adjust the paperwork so that our child has a registered father and the rights which go with it.
I have done a lot of research, it seems that registering responsibility for a child is not that hard, petition to the court (Muslim in this case) and a DNA test. What is not clear is whether her birth certificate can be reissued (reprinted) with both our names on it or I will forever be a footnote. This is important as paperwork seems to follow you your whole life in Indonesia and anything imperfect is looked down upon. Also we want to have another child and it will be difficult if one has a 'normal' birth cert and the older one has an annotated one.
I have read widely and it's suggested that if the court orders in the correct way then the sipil can and will rewrite history.
Has anyone been down this path?

Once you found out she was pregnant the first time the honourable thing to do would at least have married her legally in a civil ceremony somewhere. And for god or Gods sake make a will and get a life insurance policy on your life with the kid as beneficiary. Even $50 a month could get tens of thousands depending on your age and fitness so at least the kid has school or uni fees. Or just do a saving plan juniors name and you put in small money but put it in trust if you think Mrs will rob it when you go

My wife took on a 12 month old boy after his parents were killed in a landslide in Sumatera before we met . When she inquired about adoption she was told she couldn't because she wasn't married so her parents adopted the boy and she raised him as hers . When we met he was going on 2 . We married a few years later and made inquiries about changing the adoption details to our names . The local authorities said it was Ok and provided all the necessary documents /letters etc . When we took them to the main office in Banyuwangi they said it was not aloud for a foreigner to adopt an Indonesian child who was already adopted even if they were married to an Indonesian . He's now 21 , considers me his father even though he knows he's adopted and still lives with me after my wife , his mother passed away earlier this year . Like they say , blood doesn't make you family .

I think it will be reissued/reprinted , but I am not sure .

Like Nicho above , I don't think it is important (will probably be not relevant for the dual citizenship process too) .

I also married recently and end up with wife + her 4 children (who I didn't adopt officially) . The wife's KK/family's card does not include me (not even in a footnote) , but all 4 are in school and up to now (5 years) we didn't have any kind of problem (but as it is , of course I cannot ask for their dual citizenship) .

My wife also never mentioned any past problem even with 3 of her children having birth certificate without the biological father's name .

Paperwork is paperwork, admin bureaocracy (??) etc can be pusing but more important is reality emotionally to step up and be great father and yes even financially do something NOW in case something happens tomorrow, make sure legally the kid is taken care of, with or without Mum interfering, very small school savings or like I said a small insurance that pays even just $50-100k can take care of them for decades if invested or left alone until 18/21/25

Marcus - sorry if you disliked my OP but just being harsh reality, one thing to inherit the kid but if it is yours then you know here culturally and legally it's a difficult thing to sort out. Sorry
