House Construction Questions

Does anyone know what you should do if you have a temporary IMB (IMB sementara), in other words what do you have to do when the time period ends? Since the construction was already completed and checked (and fee paid) a couple of years ago, is there anything else that needs to be done once the time period of the IMB sementara is over (which will happen later this year)?

I never heard of IMB sementara. Do you mean, you have IMB but you haven't started the construction yet? In that case, when the period ends, the current IMB is not valid anymore and you have to apply again. Building permit is now called PBG (peraturan bangunan gedung).
 
Just read another info. But check it with your local government if this is correct:
When the IMB periode is over, one can ask for one time extension for max. 24 months. The request should be done max. 5 work days for the periode ends.
 
On the first page of the IMB it says "sifat: IMB SEMENTARA BERJANGKA" and "masa berlaku: 3 tahun".
Then later on it says "paling lambat 3 tahun sejak keputusan ini ditetapkan dan untuk disesuaikan menjadi IMB definitif". The three years finishes in 2025 [the actual construction was already completed and checked over 2 years ago].

I guess we will just ask the notaris what we need to do.

keep update what's your notaris say - our notaris here know nothing about IMB/PBG.
my interpretation from "paling lambat 3 tahun sejak keputusan ini ditetapkan dan untuk disesuaikan menjadi IMB definitif" you have to proceed into IMB definitif. However, the IMB has been replaced by PBG. The IMB (not mention about IMB sementara) remains valid if it was obtained before Government Regulation Number 16 of 2021 was enacted.
