How do you guys invest?

Yes, the whole point of putting your money in the bank (saving account or deposito) is to keep your money safe .. you want it back.

True, that is why my wife decided now not to put her money there. The yield is really good if you can really get the 1.2 jt IDR extra bonus for a one-month deposito. But since the interest rate is not covered by LPS we would not want to take the risk.

Yes, but you wrote that there is a 100,000 IDR fee as if it were a fact. The lol followed the „joke“ that this fee would „coincidentally“ equal the 1,200,000 bonus after one year. The joke would be funny if there really was a 100,000 IDR fee. Instead, the comment was misleading.

What font should I use for nonfactual posts?

Having resided in Indonesia for a while, I am confident that you must be familiar with the widely known Indonesian phrase "asbun" (asal bunyi). :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Since we just talked about rural banks (BPR) here: Do you know the App "DepositoBPR"? It seems with that app you can open a deposito in a rural bank and you can choose from several BPR. I think they also offer that you can put the money into a portfolio of BPR depositos. Might be attractive since you can spread the risk a little by that. I mean, as long as you trust LPS, there should not be a risk (as long as the interest rate is covered by LPS)...but still, in case of a bankruptcy it probably takes some time until your money is available then. And by the possibility of easily opening several depositos in different banks, not all your invested money is blocked then.

Maybe someone here already tried that app? Probably, the most interesting and important question with that app is again the question regarding LPS - so if the money is secured by LPS if you open a BPR deposito (or several) by an app like that. If so, it seems like an interesting option for people interested in depositos.

To me it looks "aman" ...

Sorry sir you opened your account through a seperate third party app. Not directly with the bank. Please contact the app developer regarding your loss

Has someone here already tried using Interactive Brokers in Indonesia? As far as I know, Interactive Brokers is one of the very few possibilities to buy and sell international stocks with a residency in Indonesia. But I am confused that every time I open their website, I get this message:

I already tried different devices and browsers but this message always shows up. I already heard that some people use Interactive Brokers here in Indonesia. Does someone know how it is possible and safe? Only by using the app?

Just turn on your VPN and you will be fine. Or Chrome's enhanced protection.

That is a bad thing and using a VPN wouldn't make any difference. That error is telling you that the SSL cerfificate is no loner valid. There are a lot reasons that could be and most them aren't good. It's also possible that the certificate has expired which would be the best outcome. No matter what the reason, there is no guarantee that your information is not being intercepted by a 3rd party since the connection is no longer SSL. No way I would do financial business with that problem.

The interactive brokers website is secure. I checked. Turn on your VPN and you are safe for all data leaving your computer.

You get the warning, maybe because you didn't clear your cache by clearing chrome's browser data.

True. A couple of years ago at my work we had this problem. The company https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigiNotar issued the SSL certificates was hacked. Nobody knew for a long period.
