We have a termite infested house in Jakarta where we plan to retire, provided the trusses are not fully ingested before that day comes.
Greetings to everyone from Malaysia. I have been married to my Indonesian wife for 12 years now but during that period, we have been living in Brunei where I work. I have just retired recently last July at the age of 44 and residing in Tulungagung, Jatim. I am also in the process of applying for a Kitas sponsored by an Indonesian spouse so hopefully everything goes as planned. Hope to get lots of advices from you guys in future. Cheers.
I live in Surabaya. Working as a teacher and looking forward to meet who have teaching passion.
I'm from Prince Edward Island Canada on the east coast, really cold and snowy today there, an early winter season. It's much warmer in Jogya and I'm getting ready to buy a car. How about you, do you drive here?,,,,,,JamesHi James, welcome to the forum-5c= shudder!
Leaky roofs- tell me about it! Had mine fixed so many times that we put a canopy over it![]()

Hello all
I am Charlie, a Brit from Yorkshire, a medium sized county in England.
I have been in and out of Indonesia for the last 18 months, due to very kind friends in Bali, and a partner in Sumatra.
About to make it official with my retirement visa in process.
Coming here after 10 years in Thailand, where I still have many friends.
Finding information on the site has been very helpful thank you.View attachment 887
