USA Inauguration

Yes, he gave that speech at the CIA concerning the crowds and scolding the press. The problem with that and makes him a very low human being is that he decided to do that in front of the wall that names all agents that had fallen during duty. The man has no respect for anyone besides himself. A low, low, dirty individual.

From the pictures I have seen the Woman's March just in DC was as big or bigger then the inauguration crowd. Worldwide it was much much larger. I'm just waiting to see if Trump response to it in his normal fashion of belittling them. I'm expecting his comments to be on the order of "a bunch of sore losers that would rather complain and not unify" That or going back to his primary run, he can't believe how many Women have PMS at the same time.

The women's march was possibly the largest march in US history. About a couple of thousands showed up in my little town. The only other time when that many people showed up was when they closed downtown for a festival with several podiums for live music and hundreds of vendors.

Jeremy Pressman, a UConn professor, is keeping tally of the numbers in a google document.

It is safe to say that the crowd was larger than the one at the inauguration.

Please don't tell Trump, or that sycophant Press Secretary Sean Spicer, your information...you may be their next target. Just kidding...I wholeheartedly agree with your observation.

Well observed Nimbus....and very apt. He was also known as comical Ali and by some others as chemical Ali.

I'm happy to find a member who comprehends the propaganda that went on just a few years ago.....and is being repeated right now.
Do these Trump sychophants really believe in the trash they propogate. I'm shocked they can sleep at night trying to define their ethics and truth.
Anyway...what happened to Baghdad Bob?

Drain the swamp. Replace it with an acidic cess pool. Trumps own inaguration speech mentioned the Washington establishment being built by those who profited off the backs of the poor and middle class but seemed to fail miserably at admitting that his new cabinate will be made of some of the most guilty of doing just that.

His speech did nothing to bring people together and plays more like an attempt to drive them apart even more then before. Those ditches filling up with opposing voices will be overflowing in no time. Adding to that opposition is the voices of those that because of their opposotion of Hillary, voted Trump but now are showing and voicing their opposition towards him. There also seem to be a growing number of earlier supporters and voters for Trump that have deserted the bandwagon as they finally figured out his plans really leave them behind.

The opposition is growing and as some are now calling it, a resistance. Not a resistance like some would think being led by Democrats with bad feelings but more a grass roots led resistance. This is not good for the US and will certainly not make America Great again as one would want you to believe.

The US isn't in as bad of shape as this guy wants you to believe. There has been progress a long with some things not so progressive. To just come in and wipe it all out is not being for the US. It is a child winning his temper tantrum.

The US people have never been this devided I think since the Civil War. Where will this take them with a leader that is not interested in bringing the sides together and thinks by saying so they should follow. The mind of a dictator trying to run a large democracy will never succeed. If he continues on this path I sincerely hope he is removed either through legislature or force. Whatever it takes. As an American, I can not see any greatness in this man. Only destruction of a nation within itself and on the Worlds stage.

I've come back to your post, and really read it, and comprehend what you, as an American citizen, said. What you have 'confessed' is courageous and I would like to applaud you for that veracity. It takes tremendous bravery to identify when things are wrong ...especially having family or nationalistic pride...but you have shown that courage.

You have described the recent reality well and I believe you are correct....hopefully there will be some correction and we are already seeing that.

Fareed Zakaria just had a great program on CNN on this very subject.....worth watching.

They're just doing a job for Trump, people have done worse for money. I had the misfortune of watching the exchange between Anderson Cooper (CNN) and Kellyanne Conway, I couldn't tolerate it. They are taking lessons from Suharto and Putin: just lie through your teeth as long as you're confident and forceful about it. There are enough idiots in America who believe them without bothering to check the facts.

As for baghdad bob:

I thought you might have a separate source of info as you initiated about 'Bagbad Bob'.

Anyway....wiki says...
He is now living in the United Arab Emirates with his family. In November 2014, Swedish newspaper Expressen posted a video of an ill Al-Sahhaf in a hospital bed in the UAE, claiming that he was dying.

For the record, Chemical Ali was a different guy, former Minister of Defense and Head of the Iraki Secret Service during Saddam's regime.

He was a closer associated to Saddam Hussein than Baghdad Bob was and, unlike him, he wasn't as lucky after his capture. I think he's been sentenced to death for his responsibility in the genocide of the Iraki kurds (hence his name of Chemical Ali) and certainly have been executed by now.

Thanks for the correction...you are so right.

Note to self...do not rely on memory especially when alzheimers is possible, dementia is probable and forgetfulness and confusion is....is ....hmmm... what is it we're talking about again....:blabla::doh:

I have often mused how the chappies would feel when the women of the world decided to make a stance.

I figure that yesterday might just be the start of the end of male (white male at that) domination... please let it be so.

There are a whole lot of women out there and one day they will say enough is enough, and stop the boys playing their silly warmongering games and get the important stuff dealt with.

I pretty much agree. The Woman's March (and men and children) on the 21 sent a powerful message. It seems the one the message was primarily addressed to has so far not commented on it. That of course may be the safest way to handle if from his side but I haven't met too many Women that allow themselves to be ignored if they have something to say. I doubt this one march will be the last we hear of the Women's new resistance drive. Eventually, Trump will have to address it. Hope he decides to be anti-Trumpistic and hits a possitive note. If he follows his narcasistic approach to everything, I can see all hell breaking loose.

Lets see...Margaret Thatcher led UK into a war with Argentina...then got fired by her own party. Indira Ghandi went to war with Pakistan and then got assasinated by her own people. Benazir Bhutto was so corrupt she was assassinated by her own people.
Hillary Clinton didn't get enough votes in the last Presidential election...so much for pussy power.

While a lot of women went to the march, you gotta remember that Hillary only won a slight majority among women, about 15 points, give or take 3 points. This means as many as 44% of American women support Trump. One such woman just left a nasty comment on my wife's picture of the women's march.

We got tons of not-so-smart ladies here.

I understand your sentiments. A lot of other males do, as well; many of the marches across the USA and across the world included a fair number of men.

Well, Trump did tweet a response to the march. Basically that none of them voted in the last election. Mild as far as Trumps Tweets normally go. I doubt he will let it go though. Many of his "whatever you want me to say Boss" staff are making the comments for him.

Davita, Clinton didn't enough of the electoral votes. As for the popular vote she received almost 3 million more then Trump just to keep the numbers straight.

Donald Trump

We cant really judge him yet, yes he has some records of grabbing things and bad mouth everybody...
But since Mad Dog Mattis was in, lets just give him a try

So does sariroti and equil stock when the Indonesia kkk said they'd boycott those two

It's too premature to judge, give him 3 months. We need to be objective, besides, he's the president now
