I agree 100% about how The US and other Western societies promote bias and misunderstanding about China, but SE Asia, the Middle East, Etc.
Like he said, the best way to know What these countries are like, is to go there and see for yourself!
I did this and loved seeing the different cultures, lifestyles, cooking, and the beautiful landscapes, beaches, cities, villages, on and on. I remember when I was young, growing up in The US. How the media portrayed SE Asia, as cartoon images of everyone dressed in Black, wearing pointy straw hats, working in the rice fields only. The Vietnam War was a tragic time for everyone. The Vietnamese, and Americans.
My brother went over as a Marine, but due to physical restraints only worked in Supplies. He returned to America when his tour of duty was over, and got busted with a few grams of Weed. They told him he could either go to Prison, or go back to Vietnam and serve another tour of duty. This was when Marijuana was a class 1 felony, along with Cocaine, Heroin. Insane Government policies!
Anyway back to China. Many US corporations have been doing business there for decades. Due to cheaper labor. I don't support this, because it takes away jobs back home. Also the Chinese should be payed a living wage, the same as everyone around the World!
Due to this exploitation of cheaper labor, China, and other countries in Asia, produce lower quality products! Which is distributed all over the world, and quickly is discarded because it is substandard quality Crap! Thus becoming monumental amounts of Rubbish! Mostly Plastic that can't be recycled!
This mentality has to STOP!!
