I love cheese, but that's a bit TOO much

Same for goat cheese..... I mean the real one, not the local stuff.
Yes, very expensive. Sometime we pampered ourself and justified the expense then compensate it with Rp 25k nasi bungkus or rp. 15k bubur ayam.😅

Tuna tonight.

Both the Tuna variations looked Delicious! And nice looking Homemade Flan! I pan seared Tuna filet tonight also, with Pan fried Potatoes, smothered in Butter, and stir fried mixed vegetables, mushrooms, but forgot to take a photo! Oops? The flan video looks yummy. Lots of sugar and milk. Making caramel looks like a long process, but I'm sure it's worth it. I been searching for Chocolate Mousse, and found it at Pepito's in Singakerta. I love the delicate texture and sweet dark Chocolate taste! Again another recipe that requires lots of Whisking. It uses 70% dark chocolate also. I want to make it someday, and now Flan, but I'm an honorary member of the Procrastinators Club, so I haven't gotten around to yet! Hah! 🥮

"Steack haché" or beef hache steak for lunch yesterday. I use minced beef (70 / 30) in which I mix oregano, thyme, pepper and salt.
Not bad but too thin, 130 gr, next time I'll up it to 170 / 180.
Cooked with plenty butter, garlic and thyme.

I even bought the proper tool to shape it !

And spicy chicken Lozano for dinner.
I was a bit generous with the chili, and it a bit too spicy for me. Perfect for the Miss, she even added Harissa....

Easy "one pan" recipe.
Yeah, yeah, I know, my handwriting is terrible....
Ain't going to get better at 72 !

This looks like a delicious meal also! Especially with those large noodles! The sauce looks nice and creamy too!

Looks like a hamburger to me. The spices sound like a nice addition, and using butter to cook it in sounds yummy. What about adding cheese to melt on the top? No hamburger Buns? Those potatoes look like they are cooked in an air fryer. Are they as crispy as pan fried?

This is not a hamburger, so NO CHEESE on top...🤮🤮🤮
A favorite with kids in France.
We often put an egg on top :

Fries fried in an air fryer. Perfectly crispy, but I don't like them burned.
Note : Try to think outside of the US doxa !
Thanks.

OK, I just love good food like you. I haven't had a Hamburger in over ten or twenty years! I think they were too much for my stomach. I'm not partial to any Country when it comes to food. If I like it, I like it! I'm always looking at a meal, thinking ways to make it better. The egg on top looks good. Maybe some Alfalfa sprouts too! A big fat Hamburger made with good beef, quality cheese melted on top.( No American Single Slice, Yuk! ), a fat slice of Beefsteak tomato, some red onion slices, with Mayonnaise, and Mustard, sounds good to me, just after Smoking A nice big Spliff! But I know you don't like Mayonnaise, so you can have it with Butter, if you wish! Food is meant to celebrate over, any way you like it! 🍔👍✌️🥳

But not very healthy !

Dessert for this evening and bourgeois breakfast for tomorow !

Shaping ...🙈🙈🙈 I grant a 6/10 only.
I have done better in the past....

We had visitors so I was asked to cook.

Main course tuna. And no, it was not well done. I even keep my pork pink.

Multiple desserts. And no, not the petites éclairs were appreciated most…

But the cheesecake.

Which had lemon, rum and a base of almond crumble.

Would never make this for myself. Ingredients cost an arm and a leg and it takes hours.

I was told to cook Pork for quite awhile, because of the risk of contracting Trichinosis, which is not a not a pleasant Parasite to have!

These desserts look absolutely exceptionally, Delicious! I think I would have chosen the Cheesecake as well! Well Done! 👍🥳

Love cheesecake, so I'll put it on the "to do" list !
The éclairs look very nice.

You baked all this yourself ?

Pork blanquette with some left over mashed potato and penne.

The Miss love her caramel cream with ice cream now as dessert !

Potato salad.
Baby potatoes, baby tomatoes, canned mixed vegetables, ham, emmental, eggs, olive oil.
20250829_105733_copy_1024x768.jpg

Dessert "Gateau de riz"
Rice cooked in milk, add sugar, eggs, cream, vanily and raisins soaked in rum.
Topped with caramel but I messed up the caramel completely.

A favorite when I was a kid (without the rum).

Ah, so you went ’macédoine’.

Btw, since it didn’t go in the oven, I think the rice would be a riz au lait? Or even a pudding.

Every time I make a riz au lait (with real Indonesian/Papuan vanilla sticks, they are relatively cheap over here) they say I’m crazy. And I’m the only one eating it. There is a certain mismatch in the mind of a lot of people here between rice and sweetened desserts. Unlike in the Arab world.
