To me the 200 posts and 2 months seniority is an important threshold for a simple reason: in the past it never took more than 2 months and/or 200 posts to the Mod Team to acquire the conviction that a member of the community was a problem to it (read: a particularly toxic troll being able to hurt the community or some of its members).
if we consider that The Cage is an almost unmoderated part of our forum, it makes sense to enforce this threshold to make sure that it remains bearable.
Now, if we talk about people we already know due to their past post history in a forum we have been moderating, it sure doesn't have the same importance. It is something which may be discussed among us in our mod channel, but personally I wouldb't see this threshold as important as for people we don't know or that we know were troublesome.
If the Cager title is something which we can freely set, the Charter Member stamp has been unfortunately lost on August 15th, 2016. It's therefore not a solution available. Charter Members are those of us who have pushed this damn ship from the dock to the sea for it to sail.
It makes sense to apply the rules to new members... my post meant giving a break to those already known from previous....as you have said above.
