Just tried iPad again. Click on reply with quote. Thingy spins and when you click on it again you bring up the reply with quote box. Enter the reply, hit submit, get the reply with quote box back with Error. The Message You Have Entered is Too Short. Try again and the same thing.

I'm on Chrome & only have that problem when my internet is being gloopy.

I'm still having trouble too - tried to quote Bad_azz' post and the page hung. I refreshed it and started typing this message. I know what's going to happen next: I'll hit "post quick reply" and get asked "are you sure you want to leave this page?" I'll select "stay on page" and then hit "post quick reply again." My message will post but I will still see this text in the"quick reply" dialogue box.

ETA - nope, it worked just fine - as long as I am not trying to quote someone else, it works okay now.

I've done some other things behind the scenes, let's see if it works. Can you try again to quote me in quick reply please?

I just did a reply with quote in the idiosyncrasies thread and the spacebar function died- yet I don't think it is my keyboard... cos it is working just fine everywhere else, and it is working fine as I type this too... hmm
just one o dem tings.

Do you mean that you weren't able to write spaces?

So now it's working everywhere except in the idiosyncrasies thread? What if you do another test quick reply in that thread?

OK, I just read the thread. I don't think it's related. Are you still using the wireless keyboard? Are the batteries still good?

Had to sign in thru safari this time- because chrome won't let me in- says security errors and that your site's certificates aren't safe...
So chrome refuses to let me have the option to open the page.
just thought I'd mention it- either me with crappy net connection or something your end??

I just sent Bad_azz a PM, and it did the same "are you sure you want to leave this page" thing when I clicked on submit. Fortunately it worked on the second try, so hopefully BA will get her message

Clicked reply with quote. Thing spins. Click it again and it cones up. If you see this it worked, if not, I guess I will tell you from tge PC.

I reset my internet & still Chrome thinks you are a bunch of gremlins- hahaha... having to use Safari now- and that in itself is a pain in the bum - cos it wants me to spell things in crazy ways example "bottles" ... it suggested I write bottels.... the world is going mad!!!

Mac mini and not giving the options I want- however, that is irrelevant- I killed the spellchecker .
the thing that is bugging me is this:

That's what is concerning me the most.

Are you able to take a screenshot of this and post here tomorrow? Like the whole browser window? Or you can PM it if you prefer.

erm- screenshots & me - nope lol, wouldn't know where to start. I use a mac mini linked to a large monitor screen - doesn't even have a webcam or microphone on it.
Or I can maybe do it the looooong way and take a pic with my phone then send it to my computer then send it to you??

its not so much that I am a dinosaur it is just that I don't use the internet apps in my phone - i merely use my phone as a router/tether whatever...

Only on a laptop with a defective battery, it was a Windows machine. Got the same error message in Google Chrome. The date/time was not up to date and incorrect (so it showed 1980 or so). When I corrected that, Chrome gave no more issues. But I guess this must be different.
