....Gen Nurmantyo’s concerns is the threat of Chinese
migration

While he said that Malaysia would have no way of stopping “hordes of hungry Chineseâ€, he boasted that since the Chinese would try to enter Indonesia by sea, “we would simply kill 10 cows and dump their carcasses into the waters to attract sharks. Then we would fire at their boats to sink them and all of them would be eaten by the sharksâ€. Unlikely as the scenario may be, his audience approved with
thunderous applause

China is not the only threat to
Indonesia, according to the general’s musings. “The United States and its allies are spreading their influence in the Asia Pacific region. They have just set up a military base in Darwin,†he told a Muhammadiyah university students’ association in late December.

“There are 1,500 (US) Marines near Darwin, soon to be 2,500,†he said in his speech to the Indonesianisme Summit in Jakarta last December. “So I pretended to be a tourist. I hired a boat to observe and saw two bases already up and running.

The Indonesia-under-siege theory, regrettably, continues to garner many supporters in the country. The paranoia also provides fuel for xenophobic nationalist strains.

Sounds like Indonesia is becoming Westernized in the Trump mold.

Fear mongering or psychological manipulation has been a successful tool used by governments for a long time. But it's the Indonesian love of gore as well as the simply planned tortuous nature of the invaders demise that makes me laugh. “we would simply kill 10 cows and dump their carcasses into the waters to attract sharks. Then we would fire at their boats to sink them and all of them would be eaten by the sharks”.10 slaughtered cows, pack of sharks, sink the boats and watch the enemy get eaten alive. Pfft, simple.

Ha ha ha it sounds like Austin Powers, or others, where instead of killing them while they have a chance, they use a slow means that is complicated giving them time to escape.

First rule of order. How to sink the boats. Second rule of order. How to keep the sharks from eating the Indonesians since they don't have a very good record in keeping their boats afloat. Third rule of order. Find where everyone ran off to.

I think he should perhaps fear the 2,500 marines that show themselves as a tourist attraction more then the Chinese navy. They would probably beat you to death with the sharks.
