I started learning to Scuba Dive many years ago, sadly I haven't done it in many years but I would like to get back into it with so many amazing spots in Indonesia to see underwater I am looking at my options. So my question is, has anyone got certified in Jakarta? I found a few places to get certified but would like some recommendations if someone has any.

Thanks,
Nate

I did my open water with odydive centre - they were very good but it was 6 years ago.

I can recommend Seapearl or Bubbles dive center - good instructor, speak english well, and both have nice own pool. However, typical for all DC in Jakarta, the open water session will be done at thousand island (require overnight at island) or Anyer which is just okay.

alternatively, you can get on-line course and continue the practical session in Bali.
I took my rescue diver at Bubbles and then the practical session in Bali.

There is / was a little dive place in the road behind Dragonfly / Lotte mart
Or go to Bali and learn there and relax same time

Thanks for the tips, for me at the moment I wish Bali was an option, we can't fly as my son is under 12 years old. But that is a great idea for sure thanks everyone.

This dive shop is located in south Jakarta and have been around for many years. Also, good parking, close to JIS and Pondak Indah Mall and swimming pool is located at Kristal Hotel

I took my Open Water test in Monterey, CA, USA and know about Kristal Klear Dive because my sons took an entry/beginners dive class.

Call to ensure they are open.

Try Masterselam, it's in Kemang.. they have course director that trains many Open water student, including me...
