Relevant legislation relating to Jilbab in schools

Hey folks,

Quick request please. I can find which particular undang undang governs or says that schools cannot forbid students & staff from wearing jilbab at school.

hmmm.... Wild guess: in 2014 they (menteri pendidikan dan kebudayaan) have enacted a reg about pakaian seragam sekolah (school uniforms).
Try google Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan nomor (?) tahun 2014 tentang pakaian seragam sekolah and you should find it. It would make sense that they included something about jilbab or any religious signs.

The uniform regulation is nomor 45/2014 but that just outlines specific styles and types of uniforms.

I am specifically looking for where and maybe it is the SPK legislation such as 31/2014 that forbids schools from discriminating against jilbab wearers.

But maybe that is a regulation bigger than just SPK schools...

I don't know the answer as far as the specific law, but for all the time that I taught in a (former) "Nat +" school (2011 - 2016 ... it became an SPK in later part of 2015, I guess ... whenever they passed the law prohibiting the word "International", et cetera), they did not allow teachers (or students) to wear hijab or other religious clothing, until maybe late 2015 or early 2016 when one of the Muslimah teachers began to cover in school (she also became the (Islam) religion teacher in that year), and I remember her telling me "I had to fight very hard for my right to wear it", so I'm guessing the school resisted "implementing", even after the law was passed ... so, 2014 sounds about right to me.

I can't be a reg specific to SPK schools but a general rule. To be honest I am so exhausted at the moment that I can barely focus on something else than my work. However, if I have time Sunday, I wil try to have a look at where it may be found.
