Quarantine Confusion

So the next step is no quarantine for those who are vaccinated and tested on arrival. I think it could be a while before that happens, unlikely to be this year, after they see if there's a post-Christmas spike or not.
Thailand and now Singapore have both taken this step, so there is some precedent within ASEAN for Indonesia to follow.

1 night is what Thailand just started doing. I have friends who were going back there(he is Thai and she is Texan) last week and the quarantine there was going to change right when they arrived. They ended up rescheduling, but I will check with them in a few days what exactly they have to do.

In regards to the 3 day quarantine, my wife said the rumor she heard was a number of government leaders were abroad at the G20 summit and they didn't want to quarantine for 5 days. It was reduced to 3 days so they could get to work quicker.

Actually it was 8 days, 5 days, 3 days. They can't reduce it to 1 day just for Bali, it would have to be for the whole country. And a one-day quarantine is meaningless - the first night you'd be sleeping in your room anyway.

If they could do that before Xmas, it would be nice.

Yes not much help if Santa has to quarantine in every country

Santa should only require a PCR test. I heard he is not only fully vaccinated, but had had multiple booster shots.

Nope, all international traveller who have received 2x vax shall undergo 3x24 hours. 5x24 hours if only vaxed 1x.

Not clear for whom received J&J shot.

Coconut Bali refering to foreign tourist from ridiculous list of 19 countries) can only enter Indonesia via Bali and Riau.
Thanks for the clarification; all the family has had either the 2 shot variety or the J&J with a recent booster, in fact we all have or will have boosters by this summer when we hope to get visas. I am hoping that the quarantine is completely eliminated before the end of May or at least set up so you can self-quarantine at home. If not we may further delay our departure date until it is.
