Dear all,
First post here and I'd appreciate any help with this query.
My father, a UK citizen living in Indonesia, passed away this week. His partner is left to deal with the legal and financial stuff. They are not married but they do have a statutory declaration of their partnership - this won't be enough for the various institutions she has to deal with.
I'm a UK citizen but I don't live here and my flight is tonight. My question is can I write and sign a 'catch all' power of attorney handing over agency to his partner to use, or do I have to complete one for every institution she has to deal with (banks, property agents, etc)? Does it have to be a hard copy, or can I email a signed and scanned pdf from abroad when needed?
Any advice appreciated, thank you.
