Mod note - some of the comments here are getting a wee bit nasty. And as a mod, I must say I've seen a post report or two come in that could perhaps be characterized as ... miffed? Pissed off? Or something.

Anyway, we have a Cage for that sort of thing. If you are pissed, feel free to express yourself in with as much sulk, asperity or spleen as you like, but do it there. (Sorry, Mr. Van - I'm afraid you'll just have to behave for now. With any luck, you'll be in the Cage before you know it.)

Out of Indonesia since a while, Indonesia become more and more a distant past. I feel a bit "out" for make comment on the forum. And so, I have become a forum lurker :noidea:

Me too. Maybe it's because I haven't put down roots anywhere else yet. We are working on it......

I was just reading you can't be the President of the USA if you were born by cesarean. The secret service find it difficult to monitor c-section people as they always exit a building via the window. :drum:

In order to qualify for the US Presidency you must be born in the United States or Kenya.

Or anywhere in the universe as long as one of the parents is a US citizen.

It's a shame Schwarzenegger is ineligible for the presidency. To hear him say "Gairt to da chopper" (Predator) as he ushers his family onto the presidents helicopter would be priceless.

I think Stevie Wonder summed up voting for Trump best. "Voting for Trump is like asking me to drive in an emergency situation."

That's hilarious! Did he really say that? I knew that Stevie was a good guy.

As for me, expect nothing approaching coherence today. I am quaking in by boots, or would be if I wore boots, terrified that Trump will win. I am going to a party soon and have mixed up a big pitcher of mai tais to bring along. With luck, I'll be gloriously celebrating our first woman president (from my own alma mater, no less). If things go badly, there is not enough booze in the world to drown my sorrows, but I will try.

He did, in a round about way. The actual quote.

"And I'll give you a point of reference. As much as you have great love for me, and you think I'm funny and la la la la la, and I make you laugh and all that, if you had an emergency situation and needed to go to the hospital, and you had to get there right away, would you want me driving your car?"

Exactly this.

That there is even a "birther" movement shows the intellectual dishonesty of its propagator.

It's probably the saddest part, I'm not working on or searching a way to have root in Indonesia... maybe later.

Yea, yeah, yay. ( Not really actually I am somewhat indifferent, just keeping with the thread)

You just know during his acceptance speech Donald Trump will say "President Obama, YOU'RE FIRED!!".

I'm actually embarrassed for the USA.

I am thoroughly ashamed to be American right now. My countrymen are morons of the lowest order.

I'd say the hangovers of Trump supporters celebrating their win will pale into insignificance compared to others. Lets just hope the world in general doesn't have to bear the post Trump Presidency hangover for too long after he leaves office, as I fear the man may leave a political legacy more damaging than anyone before him.

Hope you recover from your Trump induced stupor quickly.

Me too. I'm in such shock I can't do anything. Not even drink, at the moment. (I did have a little earlier in the day but it has long since worn off.)

The only thing I can think of that would be worse than waking up tomorrow with the knowledge that Trump won is waking up tomorrow with the knowledge that Trump won AND a nasty hangover.
