Any online racers here? I still run GT6 on PS3 and am transitioning to Project cars on PS4. Really looking forward to Assetto Corsa coming in August and Gran Turismo Sport in November.

I already sold my consoles but I still have my racing seat, my Logitech G27 and Project Cars on my PC (I was an early backer of this game and now I receive 5 or 6 EUR every quarter as my share of the total sales haha).

I wonder if they can make this cross compatible between PS4 and PC?

I'm actually waiting to get a VR headset to get back into racing. It will be amazing. Are you planning on getting a Playstation VR headset for these games?

Here's a funny anecdote: The first time I attending the Indonesia Motor Show in Kemayoran show grounds, there was a video game racing competition held by DapurPacu. The game was Gran Turismo 4 on PS3 and they had set up racing seats with steering wheels. On my first try, I qualified with the best time of the day (the qualifications ran for a few days) and got invited for the actual race day. I ended up with the 2nd best time and won a whooping 1jt for my efforts! That is a good memory

Cross compatibility isn't here ... yet but given that AC and pCars are available on all platforms, my feeling is that its on the horizon. As for VR, it looks really cool but its sweaty enough inside my headset. If I had VR it would be raining constantly
FYI GT Academy using GT Sport is running in 2 or 3 malls in Jakarta this week and in malls in Bandung Surabaya and Yogjakarta in the next few weeks.... go ahead, win it and become a real life racing driver
Also if you end up with a ps4 your G27 is not compatible, I had to get a G29

Oh nice! Unfortunately I do not have time this week, you know with the forum and all that. But I think now with Gt6 you can compete in online ladders that can get you a place to the GT Academy.

A friend of mine attended the GT Academy in France as a reporter, it's pretty intense!

About the G27, that's such BS from Sony and Logitech. Everything to force us to upgrade!

GT academy is different this year as they prepare to move onto ps4 with "Sport" so the only way to be involved is through the mall events. I have online friends who have competed at the highest levels.
The BS about wheel compatibility is still a sore point in the sim racer community. A few different adaptors are available which can make it work. I can send you links if you're interested

Project CARS is great but I have barely had a chance to play it. I play it on PS4 and still haven't done any multiplayer or anything.

I wish I had Forza instead. :/

multi player is where the fun is Dan regardless of which game/system you use. Hanging with like minded people is tons of fun I tried Forza some years ago and it didn't suit me, still, to each their own

Project cars 2 release has been announced for Sept 22 and it looks fantastic
For anyone interested, Project cars and Assetto corsa are both very good console race sims, with project cars being more developed but still a bit buggy and AC being the more realistic physics wise.
I also just got into the Gran Turismo Sport beta, which is at this point the most beautiful graphicswise. In my mind it still drives like GT6 with only slight physics/force feedback improvements..... then it still in beta

OT I used to race Karts in real life. But no interest in sitting o a couch. No smell , (I imagine) unrealistic sound.

Biggest negative no G force.

That being said given the crap on TV it is probably better then that.

You need a full on simulator which are available for about $25 grand for slightly less there are a variety of good wheels and other accessories. Also for those with older wheels the Cronusmax will allow you to play on ps4. It makes the playstation think you're using a Logitech G29.
