The Australian army has reached the highest number of annual recruitments in fifteen years. That's what Australian Defense Secretary of Personnel Matt Keogh told ABC. Thanks to advertisements on TikTok and in online games, about 1,900 people joined Defense in the recruitment year 2024-2025, which ended at the end of June.

Also, Australia is expanding the navy with eleven Japanese warships. This was announced today by Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles. They are frigates from the Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).

What a waste of Money, when so many Australians can't find a Home!

There continues to be speculation as to whether or not the Aukus agreement that would see Australia spending $360 billion for 8 nuclear submarines will come to pass. Some analysis suggest that the US may back away as the commitment with the American involvement could create problems for developing their own nuclear submarines due to lack of capacity. If Australia does continue I have no doubt there will be a massive multi billion blow out in the costs. A new prison facility, the Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre, Queensland, has just opened. Construction began in 2021 and was originally to have opened in 2014. There has been a cost blow out of $300 million dollars. Typical of most large government major projects. Hate to think what the final cost will be if we do continue on the nuclear submarines commitment.

Amazing how much money is spent on Jails, and Nuclear Submarines, and they say there is not enough to build low Cost housing for the poor! This shows you how much the Government really cares about the People!
We all know that building the jails, and buying Subs, take contracts from private investors, and corporations, they make sure to give a lot of money to the politicians that OK the permits!
