No religion but strictly vegetable

When I talked with her the next day about it , warning her of the dangers she asked what my source was and I told her it was the U.N. World Health Organization. She said you can't trust them (guess because they are scientist) . The book she read was written by a Doctor (I looked it up and he was a doctor of literature). So I just shut up at that point. Oh well.

This = my mum. No point having a coherent conversation wit people like that. Let me guess, she's into alternative healing and Astrology too?

Yes and dont forget healing crystals. It's funny thought she meet her boyfriend at a nude beach , when she jumped off the boat to go snorkeling she covered her breasts so her bathing suit didn't slip. Every one else holds there mask in place.

I came as quite a shock, for years vegans had said we should be like chimps they don’t eat meat, so it was rather disturbing for them when it was discovered that chimps did eat meat, they were shown to hunt down monkeys in the most brutal manner, it seems to be a bit of a trend these days for vegans to jump on the demo wagon and try to tell us meat eaters what we should eat, it is very irritating

I suspect before being a pilot, in a former life Davita sailed a man of war flying a skull and crossbones flag and his technique was to move in close and give the buggers a huge broadside.

IF I had had a former life, which I don't believe, surely I would NOT have chosen to be re-born into abject poverty just 2 years before WW2 started........

Harry...I only stumbled across the article while googling to see what was the difference between 'vegetarian' and 'vegan'. I don't have any opinion on vegetarians/vegans but I think you have a vivid imagination .
I suggest you try an Ozzie Roo pie...might calm your anxiety...:hungry:

I always order vegetarian / vegan / Jewish / Hindu / Glutenfree / Lactosefree / whatever so I get my food right away on the plane.

Now before I left Europe recently, my niece (a real die-hard) convinced me to try the brand spanking new 'fake meats' they had in the large supermarket. (Her words: "The progress is enormous".) Well, okay, so I used the minced 'meat' to make the Thai Basil dish. In fact it got very dry, and it wasn't great, almost no flavor. And I tried the vegetarian steak of a British friend in an Antwerp restaurant renowned for its horse meat; it was not bad but definitely without a real meat flavor.

So I guess for me the bottom line is I would do it if they really can replicate the taste.

Recently I felt really screwed at Pappa Jack btw; one orders the Mutton Curry and then I got vegetarian meatballs in a curry sauce?! No notification, nothing.

Watching Australian master chef this evening and one of the contestants has Kangeroo meat, my wife quite liked it when we had a BBQ in Perth, she was wondering if kangeroo meat is sold in Jakarta,

I've seen kangaroo meat in Papua, but never in Jakarta.

You know what I don't understand? In this climate it must be rather easy to keep and breed turkeys and ostriches. And those meats are great alternatives for ayam and sapi. But there are not that many farms.

I never had kangaroo meat, but I did eat ostrich in Africa. It's delicious.

Steak. A bit like beef tenderloin, dark red color. And not fat.

I’ve had kangeroo, ostrich, horse, and camel, not had crocodile yet, enjoyed them all except horse,

Non-celiac gluten sensitivity has been proven to be rubbish...
https://www.sciencealert.com/scient...n-sensitivity-have-now-shown-it-doesn-t-exist
In one of the best examples of science working, a researcher who provided key evidence of (non-celiac disease) gluten sensitivity recently published follow-up papers that show the opposite...
"In contrast to our first study… we could find absolutely no specific response to gluten," Gibson wrote in the paper. A third, larger study published this month has confirmed the findings.

Do vegetarians drive cars with leather seats?

Would a vegan refuse to ride in a taxi with leather seats.

Or wear leather shoes, woolen socks, we could go on endlessly, I feel bit of a modern phenomenon, you can be a vegan because in this day and age there is so much meat free food people can be vegans without starving to death, but if that’s what they want good luck to them and let me eat what I like, it’s a bit late for me to change now, but oddly the thing that has given me food poison most has been salads, I avoid them like the plague

I had them all when I was travelling around Northern Territory. Camel burger was fine but nothing special but buffalo's burger is delicious. Crocodile is tasty too. I had emu pie and it was one of the best pie I ever tried.

woolen socks

OK because the sheep is not killed to get the wool.

That being said bear bile would be a no no

Interestingly sheep's testicles maybe OK as they are removed without killing the sheep.

Is mother's milk off limits to the children of vegans?
