In many European countries, there isn’t a system like Indonesia’s MERP (Multiple Exit Re-Entry Permit); it’s more of another layer of bureaucracy.
In Europe, the focus is usually on confirming whether you have a residence permit, ILR/Permanent residence, or the type of visa you hold (e.g allow multiple entry). It's important to remember that once granted residency, or a visa that allow multiple entry, you already have permission to leave and re-enter the country. The only exception would be if you are on a list of individuals banned from doing so.
