My Ktp Is Different

You have to know it would all be buggered up, I didn't go with my wife and daughter to renew my MERP, as they said it would be a long time to get their passports renewed, also didn't tell me they didn't get their passports renewed because they didn't have their birth certificates, another new hurdle to jump, why when you have a passport you need to show your birth certificate, anyway my daughter has one my wife doesn't, as in the 15 years since she's had a passport, the house in the kampung Burnt down with her birth cert in it, her dad didn't bother to renew it and has since died, so no birth certificate, no passport, she has no idea where to get one from after all these years, anybody have an idea, her kampung is near Ngawi, any suggestions appreciated

Oh dear, it sounds like my wife is going to have a similar problem when we renew her passport later this year - She, like many Indonesians (apart from those born very recently), does not have a birth certificate, and all she has is her KTP and passport.

It sounds very odd needing to have birth certificate when renewing passports, especially with the situation regarding so many people never having one.

I will be interested to hear how you manage to get over this hurdle.

Well my sister in law had my wife's birth certificate, no idea why she had it, so she can get her passport to visit Perth next year
My MERP won't be ready till next Tuesday so that is over a week, regards my KTP I thought they would just give me a new one as they have all my paperwork, how foolish of me to think that, so had to resubmit all the paperwork and go next Monday for photo, plus we have to re do the KK because the KK seriel number was the same as my incorrect KTP, so got to get a new KK,
I don't know why they just don't train some oranutans, there wouldn't be so many fuck ups then and life would be simpler

Yes I agree, the amount of paperwork you have to keep going back with every time is ridiculous and very frustrating, surely it can't be difficult for them to come up with an easier, modern and more efficient way of doing things.

I have just been looking at the imigrasi website, and it seems that when applying for a passport you can use the marriage certificate/book instead of birth certificate. Either that information on there is outdated or its yet another case of officials not knowing the rules or making their own up!

Doesn't it go from bad to worse, it appears they, whoever they are, cannot give me the Correct KTP, so my Daughter has advised me to stop at home and she will go tomorrow as she knows I don't suffer fools lightly, normally I wouldn't bother but it's KITAP renewal soon and it was immigration who told me my KTP was wrong, it's daft really as the front of my KTP says I'm English but the back says I'm Indonesian, all I can gather that our family KK seriel number is the same as my KTP, so I wait till tomorrow

Well I collected my MERP today, took 8 days to process, I spoke to the very nice lady and she said don't bother about your blue KTP as immigration will accept it, much as Fastpitch was told, so why bother having two colours unless of course it aids in the corruption process
