Unlike Stevie Ray Vaughan, there is not so much in his life or music that can fascinate me. Sad he passed away too soon of course.

..... nowadays, i like some country music. like carrie underwood, brad paisley, luke bryant, reba, dolly, . this is a not-so popular in Indonesia.

If you're interested in somewhat less commercial country, Rob, check out: Uncle Tupelo, Wilco and Son Volt. Nowadays they call this alternative country music also Americana (or traditional American music).

Thanksgiving is over. It's time for.......

We still have Sinterklaas first. (Although there's a lot of discussion on his helper Zwarte Piet, whether it's racist or not.) The real Sint Nikolaas. Under the American influence, Christmas is getting more and more important (when I was young, the kids only received gifts on the evening of 5 December).

It strikes me it starts earlier and earlier. Already xmas trees in October?!

Didn't you know? Christmas starts the day after Halloween in the US. At least in the stores and ads. Plus, just to get that head start, there are plenty of Christmas in July happenings and even some businesses called that open year round. It's has to be the most commercially overkill of all holidays. The retailers don't turn profits until this time of year.
