The Chinese car manufacturers export more and more hybrid cars to Europe since there‘s a rather big demand for the combination of electric and gasoline engines.

Lepas is a relatively new subbrand from Chery (like Omoda etc.) and they try it now also in Indonesia. This model is a PHEV; a plug in hybrid. (Pr)op(p)onents would say it’s the best/worse of both worlds. Obviously the backup facility for the electric motor and extra range sounds interesting but that also means the electric range is much less than a full BEV, you still need to charge and get gasoline, and you have much more weight and technical complexity. This solution is s bit of an intermission.
