Congratulations to Indonesia on winning the FIfa asean cup yesterday
They even had one Indonesian player in the team (along with all the random bules who had a grandmother from Sumatra etc.).
Interestingly the scorer of the 2nd goal, an English chap named Baggot, was the only one of the "mercenaries" to have had an Indonesian passport since birth, since he has a British father and Indonesian mother, and therefore held both passports under the dual citizenship laws, choosing to keep the Indonesian one when he turned 19. . He lived in Jakarta from the ages of 6-9, going to the British school in Bintaro, before moving to England.
I have to say the performance in the penalty shootout was top quality, despite the quality of the football in general being pretty low.
