The key insights shared by Dr. Sanjay Gupta in the video "The Habits That Keep Your Brain Sharp" in the World Governments Summit

Contrary to traditional view, he argues that the brain is not fixed or static, the brain can continue to adapt, stay healthy, and even improve throughout your entire life. Modern neuroscience has revealed that you can even generate new brain cells (neurogenesis) at any age.

It is all about: hydration, be active (movement), meditation, enough sleep, low blood sugar.

Meditation ? Really ? 😅😅😅

Stay active, permanent retraining and keeping updated / improving your skills, is already a good start.
When older, being around young people helps your mind stay young. I had my first kid at 42, last at 47, you dont want look like an old obsolete dinosaure, so you have to stay young and updated. And physically decent looking !
Nowadays I tend more to hang around younger women..🤣🤣🤣

I started dabling a bit in the stock market long time ago to keep the brain sharp. I still do now.
At 73 I watch mainly historical or geo-political documentaries. Same for books.

Did I had an "healthy" lifestyle ? Certainly not, Navy and international construction are fields where the moto is "work hard, party hard".
And yes, "generous" intakes of G.T. and J.D. has probably destroyed a bit of my brain cells..🙈🙈🙈

But I am still kicking !

Have you tried the FKKs (Sauna Club). There are a few of them in DE, CH, AT, NL. If not you might want to experience it at least once. Typically the entry price is around EUR100, Free use of Sauna and steam room, Dinner buffet and soft drink are included in the entry price. There are a lot of info available on the internet and social media. You do not need to hang around women if you do not want to, just enjoy the FKK party atmosphere and mingle with other people from all over the world.

During the weekend there are quite a few of French, Belgian, Dutch cross the border by car to Cologne, Dusseldorf, to enjoy the FKKs atmosphere.

I know FKK but never had the opportunity, I used to be a fan of Cap d'Agde in France. In my first life, I was 26 living with French g/f, a "bit" younger than me.
First years with our VW camping car, later renting a flat. Good old days...
