List of agents /sponser ?

Does anyone know of a list of imagation agents ? Was thinking this forum would be a great place for a imagation agent to list his services and his cost.

It seems to me the prices for this service are all over the place. Be nice to have a review area also .
Just a idea cause it seems like a major topic and seems like almost everyone feels like they are being taken advantage of.
 
I am thinking agents would have to be dumber than a boxes of rocks to give up their advantage by transparently posting the services they offer along with the list price of each.
 
I know agents who charge different rates to different people for the same product.
Anytime I recommend my agent to someone I prefer to keep it private (PM) and advise to bargain for the best rate.
However, imo...a list of agents currently active, and their expertise, would be useful for members to instantly access.
I recall, on the old forum, we had a member who listed from his own data bank but I'm not sure he posts on this forum. Maybe his list can be sought from archives but it's probably out of date by now.

Ya marcus has quite a file , but as you said its probably out of date
 
I have an agent in Jakarta who I have used for years, she is excellent, if anyone wants her # they can PM me and negotiate your own prices.
Likewise the agent I use in SG, I think is popular here already, Mustaza who works from Orchard hotel, very fast efficient and good price, same day for KITAS etc
 
I agree with snpark. Most agents may have a fixed price but, if one goes to the office and lays out personal requirements, a negotiated price is usually available. i.e. I'd be happy to recommend my own agent (Bali & Jakarta office) by PM.... but will not disclose my costs as they wouldn't be the same as someone new. We've been using him for a number of years and have recommended to many friends...so he gives us a deal.

I am familiar with them. Okusi Associates are, in fact, well known & not in a good way. They are useful only to anchor the top end of your scale when searching for services.

See I disagree with you in that. Yes most agents would agree with you of that advantage but if a few agents with a long term business plan wanted the lion share of this very lucrative business, posted a transparent, fair price list of services, with a good internet outreach (ie expat sites).

The problem is as I see it , the agents are all looking for a big score for they efforts instead of mulitable fair scores. It comes down to making 5 dollars once or 3 dollars 10 times.

The list from Okusi is straightforward and a place to start. It' my belief that people will pay a bit more to a reliable, well organized, fair company than save a bit of money (maybe) to have the well being of what it will cost with out a bunch of surprises with extra cost (yes I know about them)
 
But Okusi has a bad rep, that's our point. And no need to pay over the odds when most of the smaller agents can actually get the job done more efficiently than a big company. Some agents are smart enough to know that making a smaller regular commission is better than a bigger one less frequently.
As above, my own agent probably gives me a better rate than newcomers purely because of the referrals I give her. In fact I feel bad because many times I refer clients to her, and they are slow to pay, or demand an invoice and take 60days to pay her even a few juta. With me, I just prepay upfront then it's all done. Helps her cashflow too.
But each to their own. Everyone has their own circumstance. But don't always go for the name thinking it's the best, unless you are the sort of person who believes Cartier and Tiffany diamonds are any better than the ones in a Jakarta jewellery store lol
 
For comparison...
Okusi charges Rp15,500,000 annually for a Retirement Visa package (Kitas).
If made available for Do It Yourself (DIY)..... the official fee is under Rp3,000,000.

Based on an old "rule of thumb" for business costs a reasonable fee would be around 9,000,000. Made up of 33% for visa cost,33% for business costs including gratuities and 33% for profit.

Yes, but retirement visa is NOT possible by DIY when single ?
Anyway can't understand why 15,500,000 for retirement bur "only" 9,750,000 for W.P. and residence visa ?

1. Retirement visa is NOT possible by DIY for single or married WNA.
2. It's because the company that issues the WP (IMTA) is the applicant's sponsor and not the Travel Agent. With a Retirement Visa the Agent IS the sponsor.

Ok now I'm no expert but the work visa doesn' include you multipe exit visa (add that in ) also doesn' include the 1200 dollars yearly cost to workplace fee (add that in). But the big differance is in a work visa is that your employer is responsible for you legally and the same goes for a spouse visa , with the spouse being the one responsible.
With a retirement visa the agent is the one responsible for you so if you srew up they are on the hook.
If I'm wrong on this let me know.

I know someone who was on a retirement visa and got caught working here. The agent got a big fine and the guy almost got deported. Agent worked it out as a big mistake to imagraions needless to say the next year the expat paid a bunch more for his visa.
What I don' understand is why it cost more here in North Sulawesi then say in Bali but it does. Guess they want to keep the bules in Bali lol
 
Davita and S.P., yes that is exactly how I understand it.

All my mates on retirement visa in Thailand now think I am HiSo to be able to pay those kind of fees every year here....
 
I got some downvotes for Okusi Associates, but they transparently posted their prices online, not going the into discussion are they affordable.
Their price list is very understandable because they charge for a full service/package. Some other agents post this and that and you don`t know what is the price at the end.

Before ALP consulting on http://www.indonesiaimmigration.com had prices, now they removed.

Simply speaking I think that the prices are high because they are not low-meaning the market demand is high because:
1. the skills of Indonesian HRs in companies hiring foreigners are very low
2. new foreign investors simply don`t know Bahasa to apply for themselves for work permits or ITAS/ITAP at least for the first time.
3. mixed married couples usually do not know the procedure and they need help, or Indonesian spouse is generally afraid of bureaucracy or simply do not know how to do it.

Why has Okusi has a bad rep btw?
 
Your item 3 Centurion about Indonesian wives not being comfortable with the Indonesian bureaucracy is a good point, fortunately my daughter has no problems so that made life easier in my getting my KITAP
