LIMITED STAY FAMILY REUNIFICATION

Hi,

I have applied just one day ago for Family reunification 6 months. My wife is Indonesian and Living with me in country other than Indonesia. I have been to Indonesia few times.

My wife wrote a guarantor letter (we don't have that meterai stamp) she just signed it and wrote her details.
I attached me bank statement and previous visas. Marriage books etc. We asked some family member to pay USD there and its paid.

Do you think it will be ok?

There is another forum member going through the same process and dinding it difficult. The Indonesian government officer where he is (Texas) actually told him it isn't possible. Maybe location is the factor (local Indonesian office, I mean). Would you mind telling us what country or area you are in?

I did this recently from outside of Indonesia. It did take 18 days after paying to have it accepted, but it did get accepted.

Currently, I am in Jakarta and I was approved for Limited Stay / one year visa last week. Surprisingly, immigration requested for Covid test but we managed to waived it. Next week, I will be going to immigration for photo and fingerprint. I will going back to the states next month for 2 months. Please note that once the visa is issued, the visa is valid for 3 months.
