New Zealand is about to double its flights to Indonesia so we may be waking up to more of these stories. I certainly hope so.

Wrapped only in a towel while running around the gardens, he said the man was hallucinating and thought he could fly.

Mr Hidayat said he tried to fly, bumped his head and fell unconscious.

Police spokesman Syarief Hidayat said the man, named as JCC, jumped the fence because the gardens were good for meditation.

Despite JCC having all the required documents and entering Indonesia legally, immigration officials said he would be deported because he had entered the gardens illegally.

Not a good week for New Zealanders in Indonesia this week.

A 53-year-old New Zealand man has died after an evening of drinking at a hotel in East Bali.

Bali News reported that the body of the tourist was discovered in a river estuary last Saturday morning after an evening of beer-drinking with family and friends at the Bali Palm Hotel.

It was reported the man was staying at the hotel with his wife. She left her husband at the bar on the evening of their last day at the hotel. She woke up at 1.30am and started looking for him.

A hotel employee found the man dead in the estuary about 6.50am.

Bali News said police found no signs of a struggle or violence on the dead man's body and do not believe he drowned.

Interesting, so heart attack then? and fell into the river?
