Well, yes but I think in terms of a successor to Monty Python, the closest I've seen is Foil, Arms and Hog, an Irish comedy trio that does brilliant sketches in a similar vein (all on youtube). Jimmy Carr is more of a comedian that tries to shock people through language, breaking taboos etc. [I suppose you could argue Life of Brian was breaking taboos in the 70s, but it's a bit tame by today's standards].

The closest to Jimmy Carr is probably someone like Ricky Gervais, or in the US Louis CK.

Bard is Google's version of OpenAi/Microsoft's ChatGPT [a Large Language Model]. The problem is these LLMs have quite a high error rate, so as you say it is often better to just Google something. In fact every time someone copy/pastes something from Bard or ChatGPT there always seems to be at least 1 mistake, and often more.

How was it?

It was actually really good! He did a full 90-minute show. Not toned down for the indo market (apart from not making jokes about Islam...he kept the religious jokes focused on Christianity). No warm-up act, no alcohol - he came out to a cold audience and settled in well. I was impressed.
His comedy style isnt my favourite - too many one liners for my taste but he did have me laughing through the entire show so I cant complain about that.
