In one of my classes today, I had my students(12th grade) do a presentation on some questions about the Asian games. One of them was what were their thoughts of Jakarta being one of the hosts. About 3/4 of the class said that Jakarta shouldn't be the host due to the costs and the affects of it and not being prepared.

Just to give an update. My other 12th Grade class, only 1 said it was a bad idea, one was neutral while the rest for for Jakarta hosting the games. The ones who said Jakarta should host the games see it as an honor and it can help the economy. The undecided student said he would wait and see.

The story could be different if ahok is the governor.

I doubt things would have been left to the last minute and we wouldn't be hearing excuses of how the rivers in Jakarta are different.
