Insurance for Dogs

Knowing how keen on Dogs some some Indonesians are, I'm wondering if any insurance company have health insurance for dogs, the reason I ask is my sisters neighbour in England dog swallowed a sock, the operation to remove the sock cost £4000, I don't envisage my dog swallowing a sock, but vets are expensive, so any details of an insurance company would be appreciated, for those interested it's his birthday today, one year old, he is a Golden Retriever, weighs 37kg and is very big due to his father being the largest Golden in Indonesia, it's a bit like taking a cart horse out for a walk, while out walking the other day,a very nice gentleman on a motor bike stopped and said in very good English that he had a Golden lady, would we like to get together, not often you get an offer like that, but we declined his kind offer

Removal of plastic bag from dog's stomach under general anaesthesia was £ 100 in 2012 in Poland. The price depends from the dog size and where, by who is the operation being done and what sort of operation it was. This is only the cost of surgery (no meds, xray, gastroscopy, bloods ect) just the procedure.

As for the insurance for dogs in Indonesia I haven't heard of it. I know there is insurance for animals on the farms like goats, cattle ect. I would maybe give a try and search for some international company which have got Indonesia listed and get my insurance from them.
