Indonesian's tax

I guess your agent made you confused . A KITAS is a process that we do at 'Kantor Imigrasi' . NPWP is a different process that we can do at 'Kantor Pajak' . Assuming your 'BJPS' is 'BPJS Health" , it is another different process done at the BPJS Office . About the need of NPWP , we discussed already in this thread . The BPJS Health , in my view , is mandatory to foreigners working more than 6 months and not available to the other foreigners (but some foreigners with KITAP sponsored by their Indonesian spouses have succeeded in getting it) .

The more you ask , the more money she earns , so of course .
The bad side of using an agent is that you probably end up not knowing the legal rules .

Yes sorry Marcus force of habit been here so long yes splitting hairs I am talking about the process KITAS for work including IMTA etc

I know these days people like to split it into 2 one for resident one for working. Correctly. But to me it's just the annual thing they do for me to live and work.

And no she doesn't charge me more. Anyway it's like a few hundred thousand only for a SIM.

Maybe it's just a favour since I used her for so long and give her many clients. Anyway I'd pay if she asked it's one thing less to worry.

Again talking personal experience. Everyone has their own way.

I have BJPS and my own private Allianz plan 1.7jt a month

During COVID they said you had to have your own insurance to renew etc

And for the sake of a few hundred thousand I am in the BJPS just so I have it. Never used it no idea even how to?

The 3 things personally I am on top of here

Visa and work permits
Banking
Rent

Keep those up to date and your nose clean and you will be ok in this wonderful country.
