Indonesia to extend mandatory quarantine to 14 days for travellers from some countries.

Quarantine is 8 days. Heard from wife's relative who just arrived from the US yesterday. The husband was trying to make the quarantine goes fast (and living with the wife more bearable) by ordering couple packs of beer (trying to have it delivered)....it was immediately denied by the hotel.

My quarantine hotel does not allow food from outside either. Some do, some don’t. Day 5/8 - pretty easy. A lot nicer (and cheaper) than English quarantine.

No quarantine requirements in UK if has received complete vaccination. My wife arrived in London yesterday. I thought she had to self quarantine but she just told me not her case

You may not be able to order delivery from outside, but I was able to order beer from room service whilst in quarantine

In quarantine a couple months ago, I was able to order outside deliveries from a beer distributor on Tokopedia using Go-Send and from Indo Maret using its app.

Officially the UK is only allowing vaccines from within UK, Europe or US but maybe the private jet had something to do with it. Also she didnt come from Indonesia in the last 10 days right? As Indonesia is on the red list so quarantine is unavoidable.

Completely dependent on where you have been previously and then vaccine status. Coming in from indonesia, quarantine in mandatory. Regardless of vaccine status.

I think it is completely hotel dependent. Although all of them have cracked down after it leaked people were popping to the shops during “quarantine”

Mandarin Oriental say they have never allowed it and it’s not new for them. Not sure I believe it or not.

Yes but my point was vaccine status alone isnt enough as it has to be the right vaccine from the right place. Indonesia will soon move to the amber list in UK but we still will need to home qurantine as our vaccines are not approved. • UK vaccination programme, approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

Where did you get the info that Indonesia will soon move to the amber list? I wasn't expecting that for several months yet. Only politically important countries like India are being taken off the red list at present.

we are Indonesian but she didnt come from Indonesia, we live in Nigeria (currently amber despite delta rampant here), having Pfizer Vaccine from US and the jet landed at Farnborough Airport UK - very comfortable travel, no hassle.

Interesting...maybe wife's family wanted to safe money and not order from the hotel (it is Mercure kemayoran)...and the hotel wanted to make extra money from the beer too.
