I am not entirely convinced how an early warning system will effectively protect consumers, as human intervention motivated with financial gain can always undermine or override it. There have already been several long standing and recent examples where consumer protection has not been sufficiently addressed, including:
Most of the cases above were revealed by social media and/or journalists and not by consumers protection agency, so I am not quite sure how this early Warning System will add the layer for consumers protection. Or is it just another make up project for financial gain??

- Contaminated or unsafe food in the MBG program
- The use of banned food additives
- Fuel being adulterated with cheaper substances
- Cooking Oil were mixed with use lubrication oil from vehicle
- Predatory lending practices and abusive debt collection
- Not to mention the widespread availability of counterfeit and substandard everyday consumer goods
