Idul Adha or Eid al-Adha

Yeah, as horses and certain dog breeds they are prone to bloating.

To quote Temple Grandin (movie) "nature is cruel, but we don't have to be"
I've worked in a slaughterhouse in the 70s and never witnessed such cruelty. I'm appalled at this system of slaughter.

Today, a lot of blood is spilled, cow’s blood that is. I heard that sins of Muslims are forgiven today if they sacrificed their cows or goats, the same was the case when they fasted during Ramadan. Is it that easy to be forgiven? For Christians, it’s easier, they just pray for forgiveness. That’s one thing I don’t like about Muslims and Christians. After being forgiven, they sin again, then clean again…

One difference I notice though, Muslims put more emphasis on themselves (and for themselves). Whereas, Christians teach more on doing good deeds to others.

Anyone else fail to sleep last night? Think I might have gotten an hour or so this morning, after the loudspeakers went off. Other people's holidays... I am a bit of a humbugger.

Anyway, I hope those of you with plans for the day enjoy yourselves. Have some nice bbq and a good nap!

I sleep nice last night, the wind was blowing from the not too noisy side and with the earplugs I sleep damn good. :director:

According to todays JP, Pak Joko is going to celebrate Eid in Serang, Banten this year. A couple of months ago he was in Padang for the prayers at the end of Ramadhan.

He seems intent on travelling all over the archipelago and including all corners of the state in key events and holidays during the year. I would like to see a heat-map that charts his movements over his first couple of years in office as he likes to get around :car:
