Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior in Jakarta!

Interesting stuff....since my last post this I'm sure the debate has become much more intellectually stimulating.... Trouble is... the vocabulary is way over my understanding of English.

Seems pretty obvious to me, that you are so far afield as to be well into the irrelevance zone. Beyond inflammatory, my friend, the line adds nothing new to the conversation, and is speculative in its underlying premise, as well. So no, I do not care to elaborate.

You must have missed the part where Davita said (I paraphrase) "without intervention the French would be speaking German".

Either way, whatever, man. This whole conversation is non-sense usual flaming, bickering and general negativity on this forum by the same old few users. I really am over it.

Thank you to those who did NOT flame.

Crap
Two French agents planted a bomb and murdered a man.
Stuff, harsh on the murderers, they killed an unarmed man.

It failed, and an innocent person was murdered.... and that's why the French should be remorseful.
No disrespect intended to the family of the victim or to anyone, but your use of the word "murder" is ridiculous.

I believe that no court of Justice would have qualified what happened as murder. For the record, a murder implies a deliberate intent at killing someone. No investigation involved has concluded that there was such intent. The intent was to put a term at Greenpeace action by sinking their boat. Not to kill anyone and therefore they (the agents responsible for the unfortunate death) have been charged and sentenced for manslaughter. A manslaughter is the crime of killing someone but with no initial intention of doing so, which was the case in the Rainbow Warrior bombing.

I stand corrected but cannot edit my post #28. If anyone reads please know I'd like to change the word 'murdered' in the part-sentence "an innocent person was murdered" to 'killed.'

Mod note: This is not the Cage. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Some content has been deleted pending review.
Lol most of theses "discussions" need to be in the cage when certain people start up ... They go from talking , to some far off land in a few words never knowing where it will land but you can put money down it has nothing to do with the oriinal context.

Murder
The unlawful killing of another human being without justification or excuse.

Murder is perhaps the single most serious criminal offense. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the killing, aperson who is convicted of murder may be sentenced to many years in prison, a prison sentence with no possibility ofParole, or death.

The precise definition of murder varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Under the Common Law, or law made by courts, murder was the unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought. The term malice aforethought did not necessarily mean that the killer planned or premeditated on the killing, or that he or she felt malice toward the victim. Generally, malice aforethought referred to a level of intent or recklessness that separated murder from other killings and warranted stiffer punishment.

By all definitions I can find, murder because they were too stupid to get their terrorist mission right is still murder.
It's sad to see people excusing terrorists, or even trying to make them seem less than the murdering bastards they are.
That was a deliberate terrorist attack that resulted in the murder of an innocent unarmed man by the French terrorists.

Come to think of it, using legal semantics to excuse killers such as those French terrorists is pretty bad news - anyone care to think of excuses for the bastards we saw kill over the weekend, or aren't they your preferred terrorists so we're all welcome to have a go at them?

There's no way round this - The French killers bombed a vessel that was no military threat to anyone, did so for political reasons, and killed a man when they carried out the act.
They should have been hanged.

You are gonna be an hilarious addition to The Cage. You were already amusing a few years ago and you have bonified.
