flying domestically

I think it is two fold

1. Some of the reasons why pilots should retire at 62 are being debunked with health and technology.

2. The current pilot shortages.
They are also advocating for less hours of training to fly commercial aircraft.

This one?

Thanks for the reminder, adding Republic to my never-fly list.

In addition to Frontier, their seats don't even recline...

Yes, the Delta One is not bad, 180deg flat bed in A330-200; best travel time but the service is not special, very expensive, more expensive than Qatar Airways.
Ah. I ever tried Delta internationally. The last time I flew to Asia, United was cheaper than Singapore Airlines IIRC (and the policy of only giving cabin crews 5 year contracts so they can be dropped when they get "too old" is a bit off putting to me). The United experience matches Delta - nothing special.

At least now they allow stewardesses grounded due to pregnancy to retain their contract and switch to ground based roles (and extend it by a year of it expires). Progress!

Recently to and fro with Citilink, Denpasar's to Jakarta. Flight times put back and an extra hour wait going, But then, these days, who expects flights on time? My wife stayed on with her mother in Bandung. Spent an hour and a half yesterday trying unsuccessfully to book her a return flight using Citilink web site.. A sister in law then offered to make the booking and ran into similar problems with the web site not functioning properly. (And I had thought it was me.) Will try again today.

Tiket.com (without a c) is also not bad for the domestic routes.

Garuda, Citilink, and AirAsia have the best maintenance. Punctuality is a relative thing.
This.
How do you know the above?

Important: (1) maintenance (2) pilot pay and schedule. Generally cost-cutting airlines squeeze more from their pilots and pay them less, as the result they are tired, they stay at cheap hotels and don't get good sleep.

So a good rule of thumb is to fly the flagship carrier, if you can afford it.
