I have my first KITAS from C318 ... Can you get KITAP immediately after you get KITAS? I've been told you have to renew KITAS for 3 times before you can get KITAP ...

My marriage is more than 7years now. In other to apply for ITAP, you have to be married for at least two years . You MUST hold ITAS first in other to apply for ITAP. I was told by immigration I don't have to wait for my ITAS to run out.

Ja, but we (and many others one presumes) decided to stay on ITAS due to the fees which we had just paid.

My understanding was that we should apply for Kitap about two or three months before the Kitas expired. This is what we did and it was processed okay.

Yes that's if you want to wait I didn't want to wait as I work in Dubai. I only come home once every 6 weeks

Temporary and permanent residence permits have intrinsically nothing to do with a marital status. Having said that, there are of course multiple types of permits and visa. Which have other requirements and demands when married to an Indonesian citizen as for work, retirement, investment or second home.

Definetely you are right jstar. I was only referring to the Spouse ITAP
