An explosion happened at the Terminal in Kampung Melayu. Body parts found. Unclear if it's a terrorist attack or something else.

"Jakarta - Wakapolri Komjen Syafrudidn menyebut ada 7 orang yang menjadi korban akibat ledakan bom di Kampung Melayu. Dua orang di antaranya meninggal dunia.
"Sementara (jumlahnya) 7 orang," kata Wakapolri Komjen Syafruddin dikonfirmasi detikcom, Rabu (24/5/2017).
Para korban sudah dibawa ke rumah sakit terdekat salah satunya RS Premier Jatinegara. Polisi saat ini masih melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP).
Dua kali suara ledakan terdengar di Terminal Kampung Melayu, Jakarta Timur. Warga mencium bau sangit dan melihat asap tebal. Ledakan pertama terjadi pukul 21.00 WIB, sedangkan ledakan kedua terjadi 5 menit kemudian."

It seems the suicide bombers were targeting police. The latest report cite 5 dead: 2 people suspected to be the suicide bombers, and 3 police officers. A further 5 police officers and 5 civilians were also wounded.

Goes to show what the "Soft Approach" will get you. I bet the government comes out with a statement that Jakarta is strong and everyone should just go about their business. In other words, take your chances because the best we can do is bikker about it when it comes to having actual laws to combat it. So, do not fear the terrorist that are returning from Syria, do not worry about the children coming back with them after their indoctrinations into the extreamist world. We will talk to them and they will be good boys and girls. Don't give no mind to those white robed guys in carts yelling out hate and death to minorities and government leaders. They can't hurt you. Listen to them, maybe they have a nice message for you because it is based on our religion and you know we can't say anything about that. The executive branch of government is getting along just fine. You really can't hear the VP saying he is doing all he can to support the radicals and to put down minorities that the President says he supports. Don't worry about Jakarta's new Governor and deputy. They will only change things to support more Muslim rights over the minorities but the city will never see Sharia law, just because. Because it may look just like it but we won't name it that.

The same people are saying the same for the Manchester Bombing blaming the US. Responces all pretty much tell them they are nuts. problem is, many go along with this stuff and causes more problems. A bunch of men attacked the police station near the palace and city hall last night. One cop pushed around and windows, computers, and property smashed.

I just heard on the radio asking people to be vigilant and to be wary of "orang asing". Why not "orang tidak dikenal" instead of "orang asing"? I know both means "strangers", but "orang asing" can be foreigners too.

And in the mean time a week ago, a maid warns my wife that close to Ramadan there will be many 'jihadi' (that's what they call it). So in the kampung it seems to be well known. And with IS getting major hits in Syria, many fighters try to get back to their home countries.

Well, even if they can't, they can lock them up.

Most countries have laws that forbid their citizens to fight in foreign armies. As well as being member of criminal organizations.

And if war crimes under the IS(IS) umbrella can be proven, ....

I believe one reason to lose one's citizenship is to take-up arms for another country...or even a vigilante group in another country. Their passports could be seized.

I find it hard to figure out, the British government say they cannot remove the passports, I don't understand this as the passports actually belong to the government, they have been abused, so cancel them,
