Well, I just completed the full process for my new KITAS (wife sponsored).

It seems the feds no longer issue a card, just a full page (A4) email attachment for print. It says on the paper (fine print) that the paper must be attached to the passport.

So, does that mean that I have to carry my passport with me at all times now?? Never did before, this seems a step back.

I've printed out two smaller copies and cut them in two so they will fit easily in my wallet.

Any one else got one of these?

Cheers.

I renewed my spouse KITAS in December and received a new card. I had a picture/form emailed to me to print and bring with me. It was basically just to confirm that I was picking up my passport and new KITAS card.

Personally I prefer having an actual card to use as an official form of ID. I was able to use my Texas dl when flying, but you never know when you will have that one person who says it isn't a valid form of id.

.
You have your SKTT, right?

Of course officially it is mandatory to be able to show Indonesian Identification for every person in RI (some exceptions for kids). For foreigners this could be a passport with a RI stamp or KTP/KITAP or SKTT/KITAS.

I also always carry a copy of the passport ID page in my wallet, just to make sure there are no issues. In this case I would have it double sided with the e-mail.

Yes, that is in the planning for me.

I just keep the pdf they sent me and my passport copy on my phone. hope that will do

The 'KTP' for KITAS holders. Mandatory. Let's say there are two forms of ID (also the process, not only the document); Immigration and Civil Registry. Many get their KITAS/P and 'forget' the civil part.
