Economical agency to do Spouse KITAS to KITAP uograde?

No-one on a spouse visa should be using an agent. There is literally nothing that the agent can add to the process. Just go to the immigration office and do it yourself. If you don't know what documents you need, then they will tell you.
Also after 2 years you should get a 5-year KITAP not another KITAS

Thanks very much, I thought that after 2 years one could convert to a KITAP,
but had heard conflicting and presumably inaccurate information.

30 years down this bureaucratic path, I have a profound lack of enthusiasm for it all.
I am glad to see the evolution of an online portal, but when it was first set up,
it was pretty horrendous. It is headed in the right direction though, so that is a positive.

I think I'll dive back into the belly of the online portal beast, and my wife's sponsorship visa application page and search for the documentation required.

I did use the Indonesian evisa.imigrasi.go.id website recently , it is good enough in my view .

I hate searching online ... There typically is self contradicting information, ...

I do searching almost everyday . Contradictions , bad , good , acceptable , outdated , biased , ... as usual in life . But from all that I have to select what I assume to be essential .

Now I am trying to figure out if I should apply as the parent of an Indonesian citizen? ... Or just use the family unification format?

It is simpler and more advantageous if you continue with your present KITAS type . And if you are sure to live in Indonesia for the next 5 years , it is cheaper (per year) to convert it into the 5 years KITAP (see below how to do it) .
