Can foreigners get gov's Chinese vaccines in Indo?

Wow, costs are going up everywhere. It used to be just "cigarette money". Perhaps it will soon be "coffee, cigarettes, and a danish money". Am I going to end up having to bribe bapak-bapak with dinner and a movie? 😄

*I don't know anything about this particular topic, just kidding around in a general fashion.
so true. the 'Fee' is going up every year lol

First year when I applied for KITAS and asked for letter from the head of the village (in sidoarjo), the 'fee' was about 20k. This year I applied for KITAP (in Surabaya), the guy was expecting 100k from us lol.

Well sby for sure more expensive than Sidoarjo but still the price was like wow, since the document was just so easy to make.

I think you are probably a bit scared lol. Honestly I think immune is more important. My cousin who is currently pregnant and got covid. She didn't show any symptoms, and her husband was always with her. Since her husband had good immune system, even they spent a lot of time together in the same room, the husband still didn't get covid.

I think in indonesia not everyone are lucky to have sinovac since now they have a shortage on vaccines.. so better take it if you think you have a good immune system. Just my opinion.
Thanks for your reply....about my immune system....not sure if I have a good one really...I did get sick quite a bit for many years..easily get common colds, flu, etc if there's a flu season (at least in the US) I'd get it....I'd have to say though fortunately as I've gotten my diabetes under control, and really really watch what I eat, I haven't gotten sick this past year (if I did it's quite minor...kinda like take a couple panadol a day, rest and got better the next day kinda deal)..but still not sure about the vaccine and how my finicky body would react...but I'll definitely think about it!

Hopefully the vaccine supplies get more robust soon. You can now walk into most pharmacies in my state, in the US, and anyone can get their shot on demand. Masks even coming off for vaccinated people in many situations.
Yes, the covid19 vaccination in US is very easy and no fuss, even for foreigners. Just need to show the ID and insurance card.
No line up. In fact i don't see anybody other than us when we visited the small clinic located inside a supermarket. Same for the second jab - we arrived 15 minutes earlier, got shot immediately, then wait for 15 minutes, again, don't see others.

What about US citizen overseas? Some of us may have Indonesian based health insurance that is not valid in the US (like Prudential Health, etc)

I don't know exactly. To my knowledge, the covid 19 vaccination in USA is free for residents as it paid by FG.
I assume it is free for all US citizens
I notice many walk-in invitations without mention insurance requirement.

I m kitap Holder leaving in Jakarta, any one who got vaccine pls let me know how can I get vaccine?

go to one of the vaccination centers and register yourself
take your passport and NIK also

Some of my foreign colleagues just received their first AZ shot yesterday. It was arranged by the school, so I do not know the process of registering.

I got the SinoVac or as they call it CovidVac. I registered through my church as they were taking registrations. Ended up getting my shot at the PUSKESMAS next to Gereja Immanuel (in same complex as it), its across the street from Stasiun Gambir. If you are elderly or disabled or got some health issues that would behoove you to get the vaccination, they say just drop in at 9am i think.

The pastors kind of freaked out after i got my first shot, i guess im the only white guy to have gone through there, they assumed it was only open to indonesians, not orang asing. Anyways, no problem. Got my second shot earlier this month. Im happy as a clam.

I've always had vaccinations for everything I needed, but to be honest the more I read the less I want to get this vaccine, whether AZ, Sinovac or even Pfizer. It's a weird psychological phenomenon, there is just way too much information out there, a lot of it not good. For yellow fever or Hep b, I never even thought about it. I'm no longer sure that if I do get the call that I'll actually go to the vaccination centre (although the wife will be probably force me to, end of discussion)..

The best is to get a vaccine but no vaccines around. Fully vaccinated in Indonesia only 3.8%.

I was offered Astra last night but I am not in any particular hurry to get vaccinated unless it becomes compulsory for travel purposes

Happy to let this country's citizens go before me while there is undeniably a shortage. Even though Astra is supposedly a good one.
My friend in Bali has already had his first Astra jab last week and his second is booked for mid June. He got a nifty PDF with all the info and QR code on it also

There is also a lot of reports of people who did not want to get the vaccine and went on to die from covid. Better to get the vaccine.
Yes I totally agree, but a decision that in the past I would never even have thought about, is now one that seems to me to have a lot of other factors to it. Having said that, whenever I get the call from pak RT I probably will get it, even if it's Sinovac.
