I have brought in Italian Parmesan and Romano cheeses, as well as common mozzarella, pepperjack and Mexican style cheeses with no problem.
I concur, cheese in REASONABLE quantity, would rarely attract attention, and even displayed in front of a custom officer may be totally overlooked.I have brought in Italian Parmesan and Romano cheeses, as well as common mozzarella, pepperjack and Mexican style cheeses with no problem.
Alkohol is probably the item the more often seized, for multiple reasons.
As perhaps you know I work in the F&B industry, supplying the Horeca market in Eastern Indonesia. Funnily enough I have already been proposed a few times in JKT to purchase stocks of alkohol which had been seized (and therefore should have been destroyed and certainly not reinjected in the market). I never got proposed (and will probably never be proposed) to purchase half a container of seized cheese
