Huge news! I'm surprised this happened so soon - the rumblings were maybe November.
Thanks for linking the document @centurion. My formal Indonesian isn't great shakes, but I think I'm seeing that:
visit visas are back on the menu
incoming foreigners need a recent PCR test AND to be fully vaccinated
There's some provision for foreigners already here (in Pasal 6), but either my Indonesian or my logic is letting me down, as I can't quite grasp what they're saying.
I doubt many foriegners will come , Imho .
Quarantine on arrival and returning to home country ,NO thanks .
Never mind if your unlucky enough to get a covid breakthrough , then you can look forward to the "dodgy" lottery of local healthcare .
211 now monitored so can't be abused by backpackers etc
Remember just because you got a visa doesn't mean you can enter
Always had to show a return ticket. That's now strict. Plus other requirements like sponsor is a company not travel agent
I hope the Quarantine duration is reduced, 7 nights 8 days really will cut into business travel.
my wife just arrived back to Jakarta after a month away and had no issues and she arrived the same day this was released and the hotel said Quarantine duration is still in place.
