Interesting news that two female suspects are in detention for the alleged murder of the half-brother to the North Korean President. The second suspect was caught attempting to leave Malaysia using an Indonesian passport. No mention if it was fake or genuine.

News is the second suspect IS an Indonesian and has been identified as such by the RI Foreign Office. The third suspect is a Malaysian supposed to be the boy-friend of the Indonesian.
This story is starting to sound weird and, as Super Angkot observed, doesn't look at all like a professional job.
I really hope the Malaysian police are on top of this and not end-up with egg on their face....better they just keep it under wraps, give the body to the N. Korean Embassy for disposal, and work with Intelligence organisations underground to see if there are hired assassins in their midst.
In this case..... imo.....ALL publicity is bad.

They missed, it should have been further North and the other half.

Malaysia does not require a visa from anyone coming from N. Korea. They have a strange relationship with them I guess.

The first suspect had a Vietnamese passport and the 2nd IS an Indonesian citizen...neither would have needed a visa to travel to Malaysia. The third is a Malaysian.
It's reported the victim had a N. Korean diplomatic passport issued in the name....Kim Choi and, as FP17 says, he didn't need a visa either.

The Migrant Worker group is calling for Indonesia to support the Indonesian suspect because as they see it, she would be a victim. Indonesian Embassy in KL has put in a request to have access to the girl. They have stated that they have legal council ready to help her.

Will people ever learn that not all those Indonesian's arrested in foreign nations are victims? Sense when does an Embassy do more then ensure the citizens rights are upheld according to the laws of the country they were apprehended in? If a Foreign Embassy located in Indonesia interfered like that, Indonesia would not be happy. When does an Embassy supply and pay for legal council?

The Indonesian is a suspect in a criminal case and it is the duty of her Embassy/Consul to protect her rights.

Re, purpose of Embassy/Consulates: To look after its own citizens in detention or arrest and to watch over the rule of law and fair trials.

Remember when NK was threatening Sony Pictures etc. because of the movie about him. Then at some point after all their threatening someone turned the internet off. Or it was reported the whole internet was down for NK for a while. If these were the people involved , in his half brother's murder, they weren't too masterful.

Why would the Malaysian Gov't want to get so embroiled with N. Korea unless there was some advantage to do so. They were very expedient to deny complicity concerning the MH370 aircraft disappearance....yet seem to advertise they are dealing with this situation with due protocol. I'm a little skeptical.

Indeed Jamu..and why i'm skeptical. How easy for the Malaysian Gov't be complicit...find a couple of innocents to ascribe guilt....and cover up something more sinister.

You're right, they should. However, this will involve a calculus of upside/downside of picking a fight with Malaysia while at the same time dealing with the current political situation in Jakarta, which as we know is a proxy for the national situation. Yes, they seem unrelated, but believe me they are not.

News is the Indonesian girl claims she was duped. She says she thought she was paid to act in the TV program 'Just for Laughs' and has sprayed many people with water then offered a cloth to wipe their face.

I watch 'Just for Laughs' all the time...I guess this will impact the program negatively.
