Application for KTP renewal: Tangerang

I thought I would just do a write up for anyone renewing their KTP, just for info, it may vary from area to area, as it appears some applicants have problem, not there fault I must say
Paperwork
Copy of KK
Copy of passport
Copy of KITAP card
Copy of birth certificate, This must be black and white, UK certificates are red, so I’m afraid a black and white copy only
Sponsor letter from wife
Expired KTP
3 photos 3x4 if your year of birth was an even number blue background if an odd numbered year red background
Some expense
50,000rp for police
50,000rp for RT
50,000rp for RW
50,000rp for office
I should take my application for renewal to the office tomorrow, so we will see how it goes

Slight delay my letter from the police not done yet, so as it’s Easter week end not till next week, sorry I forgot to add police report to docs required, my first KTP didn’t require letter from wife, birth certificate or police report, someone moved the goal posts

E-ktp now so you wont need photos. They took my photo in the office. They also scan your eyes, fingers and signature.. and i didnt have to pay a cent.

Yes they did that for my first KTP, but for reasons only known to themselves they request 3 photos, I just go with the flow, they didn’t want a birth certificate before either, I mean if you have a birth certificate you have a passport, if you must have a passport to get a KITAP, and what do they do with all this paperwork, probably check it in a bin, I gives some poor sod a job

Slight hiccup, another form I didn’t have before, “Orang Asing pemgang de Kota Tangerang Selatan” fill in and sign and take it back again, also got a nice letter( certificate of police registration) from the police didn’t have that before, all a nice new learning experience, so off the forms go to the office again

Yesterday, I just collect my e-ktp. But here the head(not very top) just as IT guy to help me to get the scan and all done. He did not even ask for anything from me even I did brought copy of KK and old KTP. After a week I got my e-ktp with a problem the date of expire stated 1919 not 2019. I just take it, as now days KTP should be for life(i know for WNI) but at least I have kitap as back up. Hopefully by next year I should get a proper data on the eKtp. Any way just pay the head uang pelicin for not giving me problem and not que super long.

Well my KTP is done as is my wifes renewal, bit of a hiccup, they cannot issue them as we didn’t supply the original KK, only a copy which was all that was asked for, so off we go on Monday with the original, I’m not going to make any rude comments,

At this time have the officials at the Catatan Sipil office in Tangerang Selatan promised to give you a KTP, or will you receive the printed document, Surat Keterangan (SurKet), with your photo pasted on it?

The excitement is great, I have no idea, the KK went in yesterday, still waiting

Oh dear, it appears the reason the required my KK was because it’s wrong, wait for it, my name is first on the list, not allowed, so the KK has to be renewed and my my wife’s name put first, then my name, oh well, new KK submitted, wife’s name first, my KTP arrived today, guess what again, its a tatty piece of paper and only valid six months, thanks Setnya, you really have screwed things up

Thanks scouser,the KITAP renewal was no problem, but the requirements to get a KTP are stupid, if you have a KITAP issueing a KTP should be automatic as you have already submitted all the paperwork required, but then again why be sensible, so my wife and I now have tatty bits of paper, she is coming up to her 3rd 6 month renewal

My wife went to her local jump up and down Zumba class this morning and a Japanese lady had just got her Kitap and said the renewal is for 15 years, I had been under the impression it had to be renewed every 5 years. But then I get everything wrong. I only recently found out that the world is really flat and we have all been tricked into believing it is round.

Last week we had our interview at home for Kitap and were asked for wedding photographs. I had lost most pics stored with Picasa when reloading Windows 10. After a search I found some sent to a friend in an email. It doesn't actually show us signing the registration but given that we have already provided a copy of the Indon consul in Sydney document certifying the validity of the marriage I trust that will not be a problem

Crossed fingers, but nothing asked about health insurance. I will post the outcome of our Kitap application when the matter is settled.

(Is it too early to say, "Have a bonzer weekend"? Well, have one anyway when it comes up.)

I thought I was writing to let everyone who has to apply for their KTP, my experience refers to the Jakarta Selatan office, so I’m hoping other offices are more upto speed than my experience on what should be a straight forward application for a ID which every indonesia has to have, but due to wholesale corruption it’s become a total farce.

My apologies. I still get confused by all the acronyms. With my recent focus on KITAP I immediately saw KTP as being KITAP. It is not my glasses it is my half brain.

If you having KITAP that allow you as the man of the house to have your name 1st. It seem that ducapil in your area are creating problem for you. Just probably ask them nicely what the reason you are given 6month on KITAP.

You know what, I really cannot be bothered with them, the laugh is my KK is still wrong, I’m a bachelor according to them, so I must be living in sin, anyway I’ve been messed about by far smarter dummies than this lot so I will just bide my time till the 6 month renewal is due and and will really play them up, my wife is a bit apprehensive as I can really shout using my parade ground voice, she’s afraid I might give some poor soul a heart attack
