My mother-in-law just arrived in Jakarta yesterday, and she was placed at the Holiday Inn Express Pluit. I don’t know yet whether the hotel was picked by her or the gov’t. She booked the Ibis hotel, but her reservation was cancelled when the hotel was taken off the approved list for quarantine. She’s fully vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine and has the card to prove it, but it makes no difference to the quarantine requirement.

Seriously? I have contacted Grand Hyatt and Kempinski hotel and they can provide hotel transportation with with a fee:

Grand Hyatt: Toyota Alphard one-way airport transfer at USD 62net

From Kempinski Hotel: Pick-up transfer from airport to hotel by Silver Bird at an additional charge of IDR 539,000 per car per way or Hotel Limousine at IDR 886,600 net per car per way. The airport representative will assist at the airport.

Anyone know if we need to book in-advance with the hotel or select the hotel or the hotel are given by the Indonesian officials after we pick-up our baggage?

Javasatu you are much much better off booking everything through the hotel before arrival, including the room itself and the transportation. Its not cheap but worth it according to everyone i know who has gone through this process.

Ruserious, I want to book directly from the hotel or from online hotel such as Agoda, Hotel.com, etc., but not sure if international arrival passengers are allowed.

I cannot find any straight answers the process once international passengers arrives. Anyone have any detailed information would be highly grateful.

I already received detailed information regarding prices, food, laundry, PCR test, transportation, etc, and have shortlisted some quarantine hotels. Thanks.

I think most hotels have the quarantine thing as package. I don’t think you’re going to book a 500k room online, and then try to turn it into a quarantine package.

Sorry to sound rude (sorry not sorry) but this has been discussed countless times, no you cannot book it cheaper through Agoda etc, there is a special list (attached below) and you deal with the hotel directly and the price package includes arranged transport, full board 3 meals, 2 tests and so on

You can choose to upgrade your room category also

Even booking a suite in the Shangri-la for 5 days is still only about $1,000++ fully inclusive
The tests alone are 1jt each time, then 3 proper meals, transport, big room with balcony etc etc, its a good deal TBH

You are escorted directly through immigration, testing, to a special area then transported alone directly to your room

I‘ve got some free night certs at the Ritz Carlton. I doubt they’d let me use them, even as a Marriott Plat member, for a Q-stay.

I just spent 14 days in quarantina in Australia. Totally strict enforced isolation. Alhamdulillah my flight was Covid free but the next days flight CGK - PER had infected passengers. Many new cases in Australia are transmissions within the quarantine facilities or within aircraft enroute. It's the luck of the draw... There is a fixed fee for quarantine... Approx 27 juta for the 14 days. There is no choice of facility. Your flight is assigned a particular facility. I was lucky to get a good hotel that has already 'fixed' it's aircon system to recirculate in the room with HEPA filtration and disperse sterilization agents, but 14 days 24 hours a day straight in aircon with no windows or fresh air made me feel like I had it! An associate did his 5 days in Jakarta at the same time. He called me whilst walking in the street outside. Did some shopping and had a feed. Nice holiday in Jakarta ! Anyhow does anyone know if you are able to transit Jakarta and do your 5 days anywhere else? Is there a website with information or a download of instructions for arrival in Indonesia?
